I agree, surely in the best interest of both parties to agree on the buyout clause, no?
i would have thought so. besides, transfer fees are not that common at this level, especially for defensive players. how many transfer fees have we collected over the years? i do understand the phoenix wanting to implement this strategy, but the hit rate is low.
we have jettisoned a good player for something that was probably not going to happen
