Payne simply not up to pro football anymore. Give him his dues to this point he's battled away as one. We need a proper CB and a proper RB. in this country we have developed at least one of each before looking overseas.

Chiefy is not a new arrival - he would have spent enough time here to know where to look for local talent.
He said when he was appointed coach, that there were a few NZ Domestic players he would be looking at. Between him & Gill they will have a good grasp of the local scene. Noting that this is only the 2nd winter since the end of border restrictions, that local Kiwis can freely trial at the Nix.
