What are peoples thoughts on him/his level? 
Never been sold on him, but I believe he is left footed and left sided centre backs are fashionable nowadays.
Haven't watched him play for a long time. So only speculating, but would have thought he'd be a similar level to Laws maybe...... Probably not an upgrade when you consider Laws is now playing in Europe and Brotherton is playing US third tier, but he is a NZer.

And that Laws assist for Zawada last season was tip top.

Question is is he better than Payne. And again probably not is the answer. We need at least two CBS better than Payne to be doing well. Surman will be pushing you’d think, but not yet.
