The commentators said something about the amount of Phoenix players on the pitch yesterday that had yet to score an a league goal. I can't remember what it was because it was late, but it's clear that while the young players are doing well in defence and transition we need more than just Zawada, Kosta, and Kraev to pick up goals.
The main commentator (not Donovan) sounded like he just looked at the stats but does not know the team. For example, he said that Payne has scored just two goals so far - but did not mention that he had scored them this season (iirc). The point is, Italiano, Griffiths and Gill have been transformational for our existing players (Payne, Rufer, Wooton), let alone to the new ones (Al-Taay, LKH).
