It’s a good opportunity to see in the first game how the so called mid aged players function.
I can however foresee if the Nix have a bad start to the season, that the management of the Nix try to pull the under 20 World Cup pre season conspiracy card.
Looking at the transfer window, what is concerning is when the General Manager was point blanked asked, why last season was so poor, he point blanked answered:
“The imports”
Now three are still there and you would have to deduce from their performances last year that they were part of his problem.
No success however has been made in trying to off load them. Now I appreciate they have contracts but you would think especially the Japanese lads, would have opportunities in at least J league 2, back home.
Other clubs like AFC have managed to off load those under contract who were dead wood last season (I.e. Galloway) but the Nix havent.
Whilst not a nice thing to hear, part of management is unfortunately getting rid of those who are non performers and replacing them with higher quality employees.
In that regard Dome has failed. He specifically highlighted the major issue but has not been able to deal with it during the off season.
