Wow that anti Rufer sentiment is as bad as boringly  constant rants about Pennington. 
Rufer is the best of the four midfield contenders defensively. I don't see him as contributing enough offensively and in controlling possession to start but might be a good one to bring on when Lewis/Ugarkovic/Pennington are tired and we're looking to shore up for a result. Laws can also do this role.
