Elimination playoffs are one off games. 3rd hosts 6th, and 4th hosts 5th.

Winner of each playoff then plays 1st or 2nd in 2 legged semi finals, home & away.

So yes Nix (can finish no higher than 6th) could win away against 3rd placed team, and then be in a 2 legged H&A semifinal against Melb City (will finish 1st)
