I have no problem with the Dome interview, they don’t make money with the club, crowd numbers are not as expected and they raised the ticket prices to get something out of it. I don’t know the financial situation of the casual fan, they may not really affected by the current economic climate, maybe they are in the exact group.
They should just talk less about money. The hardcore fans get triggered and the casual fans don’t care.
Sadly, we missed a big chance to create a football hype by not qualifying for the world cup in part by an not as good coach, remember the NZ Football report? Imagine the difference in support if some Nix players would go the WC? We would have 10k every week!

Don't agree with everything you say, but you are dead right AWs making Qatar would add a huge amount of football hype/good will out there, and see bigger Nix crowds.
Only player I saw being interviewed by the various Aus networks here, pre the sold out Sydney derby was man of the moment Andrew Redmayne, aka The Grey Wiggle.
Really not sure there is much more Welnix/Dome can do to get bigger crowds. And yes the cost of living crisis is a very real thing. But one issue they should be all over is making sure folks can book online, safe & fast with Ticketek. Having fans try and then give up, only to pay $42.50 at the gate is just stupid bad unnecessary publicity. Get that fixed pronto Domey.
