Looking at the squad above, I am still seeing a potential spot for David Ball to be even if only on the subs list.  If Ball is fit, not injured, and has not had a fallout with Chiefy over something we do not know about, he would be a useful sub in a squad of people who may not have developed understanding with each other. He is a perfect replacement for Nagasawa in the second half to add the extra spark even if for 30 minutes. 
The "chemistry" is a factor we tend to underestimate. Ball had plenty of games with Al-Taay, Rufer, Sutton, Kosta and Wootton, understands their strengths and weaknesses and no lengthy tactical explanations would be required for him to come on.

He is a perfect replacement for Nagasawa and able to fill in the same role.  Ball had plenty of games with Al-Taay, Rufer, Sutton, Kosta and Wootton, and no tactical guesswork would be required.
