oh yeah and away tickets is all gone
Is this not an epic fail?
Local fans wanting to sit in their allocated seats in the away zone, so the 20-50 travelling victory fans have to be scattered around them?? Remember what happened last time we let Nix fans sit in with victory fans...

We haven’t “let” nix fans sit in the away bay have we?

There have been some sudden block bookings (eg 200 at a time), which I thought may have been organised travel via supporters groups. Good on them if they’ve packed it out.

I haven’t seen any purchase restrictions (eg when we [Charlton] went to Millwall only CAFC members or people with 5 home game purchases in the system for that season were allowed to buy away tickets, and purchase was administered by Charlton) and don’t think it’s warranted in the A-league. I’d expect a reasonable security presence and anyone wearing nix merch or supporting us to be booted from the ground if they are in the away bay.

Yeah we have let it happen because there are not restrictions.

There were 50 seats max sold in the section yesterday. Then when it was the only section available last night it filled up.
I can guarantee it’s not sudden blocks of victory fans.

Having travelled to plenty of nix away games half the fun is being surrounded by your own fans and creating a good atmosphere.

Yes there is not often trouble in the a leagues but it’s still something you can help avoid. Thought we might’ve learnt from when victory played here during the season.
What’s the point of an away zone?
Gonna be a very useful exercise for Nix management & stadium security, looking towards next season's AFC home derby game(s). They are going to be big crowd affairs as well. If the Nix home derby is on Waitangi Day as mooted, it might even get close to a sellout (depending alot on how the Nix are performing). I'm sure a number of AFC supporters will just be happily dispersed amongst Nix fans, but their active support (P.o.r.t) will want an allocated Away bay.

I've read a bit of anti Nix sentiment on their FB page. Don't rule out some, rare for NZ, ugly scenes if there isn't well organised security around the Away bay. That's the last thing you'd want to see, potentially overshadowing all the enormous positive vibes that are going to be around these huge first time derby matches.
