It's an interesting one. I'm guessing, from a sponsorship point of view, the exposure wouldn't be as much, so the "bigger" players wouldn't be aboard, so it might need a number of smaller scale sponsorships.
Excuse my ignorance, but are W League games shown live on Aussie TV? Or highlights?
