They are only giving scholarships  to players within their academy this year.

There is no doubt that there is untapped raw talent around NZ. Be interesting to see which way the Nix womens team goes with there Scholarship and youth development contracts. 
Will they look outside of there acadamy at talent across the country (aka Foster last season) or only look to promote there own acadamy players. (as seems to be the way of the mens team)
