The younger players are generally more gifted technically, I think these signing recognise the fact these players have a higher ceiling, so get them in early and start building them.

Are multi year contracts and transfer fees something that happens much in womens football?
makes sense. I guess the whole 11 only NZ players has made it really difficult to include both young/gifted and more mature/experienced NZers. And with the Aussie signings, its probably quite difficult to attract experienced ALW players to the new Nix team of mostly younger players. More likely to sign young promising Aus players on the fringe. Be interesting to see who else they sign from here.
