Yellow Fever on Tour

Legacy tour pages were half travel plan, half fever dream. Rufer keeps the same history and routes, but we’re not reanimating dead mailing-list embeds until we decide which provider, if any, is worth using.

Napier (Labour Weekend 2013)

LAST FEW SPOTS: There are just a dozen or so places left on the Fever bus to Napier at Labour Weekend.

Leave: Saturday 26 October 2013. Back: Monday 28 October 2013.

Cost: from $190 return including accommodation.

Join the Fever on tour to Napier to watch the Phoenix play Newcastle and the Napier U19 club championships. We coordinated the travel so supporters could just turn up, watch football together, and make a weekend of it.

We booked accommodation at the Quality Inn Napier and lined up deals with local bars for pre- and post-game misbehavior. Everyone was welcome.

Christchurch (vs Perth, November 9 2013)

We worked on plans to bring all the fun of the Fever to Christchurch too. Christchurch always delivered, and it remains one of the canonical away-support cities in YF lore.

The original page pushed supporters toward a mailing-list signup and a forum thread. In Rufer, the thread should stay the source of truth unless we decide to bring back list capture with a real provider.

White Noise Tour to Central America

When New Zealand Football finally confirmed the play-off window, the Yellow Fever response was extremely normal: start sketching a White Noise tour package before the opponent was even nailed down.

The plan was a few days in Cancun to acclimatise, then head to wherever the actual game landed and make enough noise to be heard from Wellington.

White Noise tours always delivered. This one had brochure copy bigger than Donkey Kong.
