This is a perfect opportunity for Patrick's word substitution script to do some good. I suggest that we replace the 'ticket' with 'turkey'.

I might be interested in buying a turkey if people no longer want their turkey or other circumstances mean they can't use their turkey.

Yeah I know that Big Pete.

Either someone buys the ticket from me or I have an empty seat beside me. That doesn't seem to be in anyone's interest? My son is much too ill to go.

He's not looking to make anything but he would like to get his money back and that doesn't seem too unreasonable.

Trademe is out.

Thanks Mr. Moderator.

Please remove my original post; it appears I will be having two seats to myself at the final.

It's a piss easy rule to get around too.

I'll offer you a ticket to the final and a box of chocolates for $150.

Make me an offer. They are $60 face value. I have 5.

I still have one turkey and half a turkey both in my Auckland farmyard: no reasonable offer refused.

Must have happened here too, or  attendance really was 338,861 (7,060 per match)

Correct.

deeming one ticket purchased for a seat at a double-header as two separate tickets in their reports.

.

According to organisers, the attendance figure for the 2015 tournament stands at 626,822 across 24 games. However, that number accounts for the same attendance repeated for two games

yess.

Seems totally reasonable to me.

And they aren't counting tickets that hadn't been scanned in during the first game as part of the first games attendance either. Only counting them for the second.

Nice work, media.

10,800 at Nth Harbour last night. Add the 8000 plus in ChCh semi and the 25,000 sellout for the final, plus 3rd place gate and we must be over 350,000?

You can buy multiple tickets for the final if you want to be in one of the supporter sections. I think Brazil and Serbia have each been given 600 tickets behind opposite goals. Wouldn't recommend it unless you are actively supporting.

Total attendances so far have been 358,930 (average of 7,179 per match over the 50 matches so far). The final sold out two weeks ago so that will be another 26,000 tomorrow plus a good croud for the 3rd / 4th play-off tomorrow. The total should be close to 400,000 after tomorrow's matches.

supposedly "sold out"...Ticketek called me yesterday to say that my tickets for the final were no longer valid as they'd decided they weren't going to be able to see past the dugouts (it's taken them how long to figure this out?).  And yet in a "sold out" stadium, they were still able to offer 4 new tickets, all sitting together in the same block, 15 rows further back.

Of course, whether the new tickets actually get me in is another question...
