I like this championship. It's the only real chance teams from around the world get a chance to stick it to the arrogant european teams. Every other confederation takes this tournament really seriously EXCEPT the stupid Europeans....need to take their head out of their ass.
Looking forward to see Neymar vs Messi. Would like to see Auckland City put on another brave show though it will be tougher against J-League Champs...
Villa's injury is why they don't take it seriously. It is an inconvenience. Everyone knows if you win the European Cup you are the best club side in the world.
Villa's injury raises the question on why on earth you would be playing him in a walkover victory, or am I underrating the importance of the club WC?
Well, you have to play someone - and Villa hasn't really been first choice for Barcelona the last few weeks.
Al Sadd took third spot in a penatly shoot-out winning 3-5, next up Barcelona v Santos at 11.30pm
Was this even televised? I dont ever recall seeing it listed on Sky

Think it is. Check the thread in Oceania football.

Sprint Cars at the Springs on Sky Sport 2.
Barcelona had 69% possession thus far.. 10 mins in.
This is just like watching the (on form) Roar play...
Al Sadd have nothing, they've parked the bus. Seeing if they can make it through the first half heh.Azevo2011-12-15 23:50:40
Jeeez, piss poor defending, gifted that one to Barcelona, 1-0.
Shocking error by the keeper
As much as I like this commentator. I hate how the commentate by themself
I can't recall many international matches where there were two commentators, suppose it depends who is broadcasting it.
Get Fred on there haha
Am currently watching it with a Russian commentator, so an english speaking one would be nice, but not that bothered.
Maybe the nix should sign Villa up, since he isn't there 1st choice
Oh wow, that was a nice strike by Adriano.. 2-0 Barcelona
So possession sits at 70 to barcelona and 30 to Al Sadd whom have 2 shots on goal as compared to the 11 Barcelona have had. Fairly one sided, though Al Sadd had some spark towards the end of the first half. Might as well go all out in the 2nd, just be careful of those reds..
Barcelona won 4-0.
David Villa fractured the tibia in his left leg, looks like he'll be out for six months.

Fell asleep at halftime woke up and the game had finished

I think that is changing. More of Brazil's stars are staying at home, Neymar and Ganso are the prime examples of that, though there are many others emerging, Jefferson of my club Botafogo is now first choice keeper for Brazil. The Club World Cup, although it lacks the prestige in Europe is seen by the rest of the world as the chance to become a true world force.
Brazilian clubs start the season saying "the road to Tokyo" for them it is them it is the ultimate and it should rightly be viewed by all teams as that, Barcelona included. I think Sunday's match should be close, Barcelona have an amazing team but Santos can disrupt them and as they showed against Kashiwa they can score remarkable goals.
This winning European Cup mentality is similar to how Americans view there national sportinng championships as "NBA World Champions" etc...

Probably not, I watched it online.
Ah well, i only really wanted to see ACFC and FCB any ways.
Santos already getting dominated in possession
Santos already getting dominated in possession
No surprise, Santos were having some issues with midfield against Kashiwa in the midfield, and we all know Barcelona dominate in that department, soooo.. Yeah.
Barcelona 2 up, I am gonna go have a nap before Pompey v Southampton now. hahaha
