And this is the problem with match fixing, even if it is"just" spot fixing. Now the integrity of the game is ruined and any time there's an unusual result you automatically wonder about it. Does make it harder to enjoy the game for me

ARGH I'm enjoying this game but SkyGo is doing all it can to ruin the experience for me.  Unknown error, I refresh the page, concurrency met, and regular stopages for no reason.

I wish Sky didn't have such a stranglehold over this content because with no competition they aren't going to make the experience good.

A great innings from Smith. I guess we will struggle to get that score.

Yup it wont be easy, so if we do it that will be that little more exciting, though ill miss most of the next innings due to the Nix.

Ugh if the Nix craps out like this because Sky forgot NZ v Aus cricket is popular I'm going to be so annoyed.

It did once, but I can handle once.  Bugs happen, but during the cricket it was happening every 5-10 minutes at times.  So fortunately I got to watch us lose to the bottom of the table reasonably uninterupted.

I don't know what is more depressing the NZ cricket team or the Phoenix.

I recall the Channel 9 commentators moaning about Smith not declaring earlier and putting Pakistan in to bat. They only won by 39 runs in the end so evidently the commentators don't know shark.

MoM too, captaincy obviously rated last night - I didn't see the second innings. McDs Super Smash world record at Puke Park too, Stags vs Volts. Great game, tough ground for bowlers.

Nah I think Australian cricket's arrogance and domination of their country's summer culture is definitely worth more schadenfreude or however you spell it than Arsenal not winning again...though they're having a better season this year...

The Basin has become the place to cash in for batsmen. Green is merely a colour.

Martin Devlin is (again) kicking off a crusade against BJ Watling and his 'behaviour behind the stumps'. I watch a fair bit of cricket and I've never noticed Watling doing anything 'untoward' or different to past NZ wicket keepers. Is that just me, are other people seeing what MD is? Did Watling deny him an interview or something??

I cant believe we could have a result after those first two innings.

Scary how much a pitch can change in days.  Hopefully Rahim is released from hospital today with no major injuries as that would be a downer on the game.   Though I saw they had almost completely ruled out major injuries so that's good.  Fast ball to the back of the head is dangerous.

So apparently BJW tried to claim the catch he dropped - didn't see that. The others thing MD mentioned was 'squealing' behind the stumps, no idea what he's on about there.

The sceptic in me says that de Grandhomme is just another half tracker that will turn into a Neesham or Anderson. Lets see how he does against SA before we start jerking off over him. Didn't Hamish Rutherford score a ton on his debut too?

I believe I had that.

What's happened to Anderson? He was a really decent batting all rounder. Neesham deosn't do enough with the ball, thought he's scored some handy runs.

Not bowling yet - still recovering from another injury. I quite like Neesham as a test AR - bats well and is a reasonable option as a 4th seamer.

Yep, he's ok as a stock bowler or a 4th bowling option.

It bugs the shark out of me that Southee has never applied himself as a batsman because he seems to have the natural talent to be a decent bowling all-rounder but instead he's just a walking wicket who slogs every ball regardless of the match situation

3rd time in 6 years that play has been abandoned in Napier.

Napier City Council need to sort McLean Park drainage out ASAP. 5.8mm of rain in an area that is in drought does not cause a cricket match to be called off!

Shambolic. Can only imagine it would get fixed straight away if a All Blacks Test or Hurricanes match was abandoned on the rare occassions the ground plays host to them.
