A private number trying to call me 4 times today while I was unable to answer at work, and not leaving a message. Important enough to try 4 times but not important enough to leave me a way to return the call. I expect it was probably just spam but still makes me curious.

Happening quite a bit to me lately too. I figure if their number is private and no mesage is left then they dont really want to speak to me

Was getting those from "Vancouver" allegedly and somewhere else. Indians ringing around cause I answered a couple. They speak decent english but they still could not understand the words "No Thank you" for some reason. I had about 8 calls all up but the last week has been quiet.

I don't think so, it's like saying everyone is a liar. The degrees of hypocrisy will be different per person but everyone has a "do as I say not as I do" moment.

Had to have a plumber unblock a drain yesterday and while I was still at work I got a text from my partner that some neighbour we'd never seen before had coming running to have a go at her about the mess the plumber left and threatening to call the council if it wasn't cleaned up immediately etc. From that I was expecting the garden to have been dug up and sewage spraying down the road or something but got home and it was just that some water had run down the road just like if someone had been washing their car and after a few hours it was dry. What he expected anyone to do about it I don't know. There's always some cod who can't mind their own business and who doesn't know what real stress and worry is isn't there?

Also private number has had another 5 goes today. You'd think by now they'd get that I'm not easy to get hold of in work hours and leave a message or send an email.

Our Air China flight being delayed. They knew it would be last night because that flight turned back and a whole planeload was waiting for today's. Noone told us until we had been lined up for check on for 90 minutes. Now to go line up again in half an hour. Useless.

I am never one to mind paying as long as I think it is value for money.

One of the garden taps was gushing yesterday so I turned off the water and tried to change the washer. My shifting spanner would not move it so I called a plummer. Yes it was Saturday, but his $200 plus $50 for every 15 minutes was just a rip off. Went over the road to a neighbour that I have never met ( just waved to) and he came with a monkey wrench and it was fixed in a few minutes. I gave him a 6 pack which he reluctantly accepted.

Some tradesmen are an absolute  joke.

They are all so busy it's not surprising. Supply and demand, you're lucky he even returned your call left alone gave a price.

Good score Leggy. I need a plasterer to fill in four holes in a wall. When will kids learn a towel rack is not a grabbing device to help you out of a bath? Sadly whoever installed it managed to find the stud only once out of the four spots.

I thought it was illegal to be male and not have a box of tools in New Zealand?

No LG we were slightly luckier. We were in the following flight. So we were delayed because of it and i think for that plane to be fixed. Delayed from 820 pm to 1130pm to 2am to 3am to 530 am when we finally travelled after being awake all night in airport. V poor communications from Air China in Auck. Quite a lot better comms  in Beijing

Pulled over and fined for doing 106km/h while overtaking a truck.  Didn't even realise that it was considered the holiday period yet, so was sitting at 110 on the speedo knowing that it reads a little over and I would be ok.

My speedo is 6 kmph faster than I am actually travelling. My Tom Tom is more accurate. Tried an IGO Primo and it came back with the same results as my Tom Tom..

WTF is Double Brown doing in your fridge in the first place?? You've lost some respect for that!

Isn't it amazing, Christmas Day and by law no advertising allowed on TV, so what do they do? "Self Promotions" instead. Bastards.

Nope. Have played a lot of golf in the past and have quite a physical job so Dr suggested it is probably result of repetitive strain over many years.
