If it ends up based on goal difference then it is #Shark. But dual play off should be used to sort it!

I'm pretty excited by the prospect of 2 teams going winless this season.

Wellington United may have a  chance in their next game against Stop Out who are keen for their second team to win promotion and have been dropping top players down to Capital 1.

Task made easier with Billingsley and now Rogerson

"Suburbs striker Noah Billingsley levelled, 1-1, in the 47th minute to trigger off a goal-scoring spree. Marko Stamenic hit a low drive between the legs of Blues keeper Joshua Hill in the 53rd minute before Logan Rogerson found the net with his head from a corner kick three minutes later and Ryan Feutz counterattack goal in the 76th minute resulted from the Rovers pushing up the park to play catch-up footy." (Hawkes Bay Today)

Poor Josh Rogerson, scores and they mistake him for someone in Samoa picking up a medal.

Stop Out would get good karma if they were to be responsible for Rapa to go be relegated but Wellington are incapable of even beating a half strength Stop Out

What's the beef between Rapa and Stop Out

Rapa have had relegated Stop Out twice and knocked them out of the Chatham Cup a number of times. There is not a lot of love loss between the clubs.

I see Wellington United gave up on the after match in as much time as they gave up on the actual match. Going down badly on all fronts.

North Wellington have had a great season with some young players and the odd import.

Wellington Utd the worst CL team ever. They were an embarrassment today. Players, staff on and off the field... The guys who used to be the Chairman who seemed to be the manager of the team now should be embarrassed.... Absolute shame for a club with their history to be reduced to that.

Do you think the Phoenix even have the smallest shred of guilt about the situation they left Wellington United in this season?

No. But blame not all on them. United knew that it wasn't going to last forever and the partnership was strained for a few years. But United didn't do anything to prepare for when it was going to end. They turned up with 11 plus the coach for the game on the weekend and with the imports heading home now will run the risk of defaults, which is a slap in the face of the Central League clubs and all those in the Federation League and Capital Premier. Havelock North would have have brought so much more to the league than the rabble in Wellington United shirts.

It sucks for a club with so much history to be going through this, one thing I would say is there is probably more behind the scenes than "Nix left they knew it was going to happen so git gud son" We dont know whats happening behind the scenes, did they have a coach pull out? did they have a bunch of players lined up who committed and then pulled out? there are so many unanswered questions that a good board will keep behind closed doors to try and figure out.

It really sucks but hopefully they can rebuild the club over the next year or two.

Wellington United will re build in time. Every club has its ups and downs.  This is also a lesson to Clubs such as Lower Hutt and Wests who are servants to greater masters that call all the shots. They need to have a back up plan.

Let's not forget United didn't overly want to stay in Central League - but if you're doing a rebuild and your choices are Cap 5 or Central League, a season of shellackings is a small price to pay.

It's not just about what they want though. Surely you have to respect the integrity of the League? Finishing winless and having already conceded 115 goals with a massive question mark on whether they can even field a team in the last two games says Cap 5 was the better option for everyone.

Might've been the best option for everyone else, but it wasn't the best option for Wgtn Utd, and they're the ones that get to make that call. Its their spot to give up - don't tell me you'd have made a different decision in the same scenario.

Withdraw and they dropped to cap 5 then at best 1 year later Cap 4

Stay in CL and ride out 1 year drop to Cap Prem at worst 21 year later Cap 1

For any club rebuilding after a player exodus - I know the call that most clubs would make.

Rapa and United are in the same boat on points (forget goal diffrence)

Why do they have to respect the League?

Not trying to incite something just genuinely interested into the reasoning behind this

Yeah it's not like them and the Nix showed much respect in the first place by buying their place into Central League. Though other teams have brought their way in too (North Wellington) or tried to buy the trophy (and succeed one year - Wellington Olympic).
For the clubs, it's wanting to look the best instead of respect.
