Australia Cup - Other Australian games
Thought Hume city played well and were a bit unlucky to concede at the end to a very lucky goal
Double blow for the Jets last night, Wessi out for 3 months with an injury he picked up.

Especially when the goalscorer should have received a 2nd yellow five minutes earlier.
City vs Wanderers & Strikers vs Zebras tonight, sadly Sky TV isn't showing the game tonight. They have gone with a replay of some pissant competition called to UCL instead.

Lopar has been really good for WSW in pre-season but he went full Vedran on that one. Noone has been killing it for City in pre-season, he might be one to watch out for come the season proper.

Someone called Majok? or similiar? I agree clumsiest player ive seen for a long time...bordering on dangerous with his tackles

Strikers take an early lead vs City.

FFA Cup Final is on the 23rd October. City host Adelaide on the 20th, so if Adelaide beats CCM tonight the FFA best hope that City doesn't host the final cuz it may be hard to sell tickets to the same match up 3 days apart.
CCM v Adelaide on Sky Sports 9 (059) at 10:30pm tonight.
1-1 late in normal time. Matt Simon got a red card with CCM 1 up and Adele equalised soon after
McGhee with a late winner.
Adelaide will host City for the Final on the 23rd October. In a funny quirk of the A-League draw, City host Adelaide on the 20th October.

Toure rams it past Bouzanis from a narrow angle. Nice goal but poor from the keeper.

MV ripped apart and Hallaran makes it 2-0.
Still half an hour to go but it's all over. Meleusnic taps in at the far post for 3-0.
McGree 4-0. It's a slaughter!

Reds were good for the win but there was some atrocious defending from MC. Before tonight I liked the look of them and had them in mind as a good chance for the top 2, maybe even winner of the A League title but maybe it's just going to be the same old City.
City were ripped a new one in a very good game.
A new play-off process for Hyundai #ALeague clubs from 2020! #FFACup

With the TV rights now back with the FFA, how are games going to be shown in NZ? Also does this mean Nix might actually get a home game for once now that Foxtel don't control it?.
Id be nice if it was streamed on youtube the last 64 rounds upwards.

I dont think there will be a FFA Cup run this season cuz of covid but when it is run again, I cant see why Sky wouldn't include it in the package they pay for. There is the idea of a FFA streaming platform that might use it as a test case, so there is also that option.
The 2020 FFA Cup has been canned.
If FFA change their name, the governing body are considering dipping into the past, and re-naming the FFA cup the "Australia Cup." [Optus]https://t.co/A2SXXOno4l

? July start, final around Novemberhttps://t.co/A2SXXOno4l

- FFA Cup Final Rounds will feature an open draw for the first time – generating more competitive tension and uncertainty.

- FFA Cup Final Rounds Slot Allocation for A-League clubs and Member Federations to remain unchanged.
- FFA Cup Final Rounds Play-Off matches between the bottom four (4) placed A-League clubs from the A-League 2020/21 season will be played to determine the final two (2) A-League teams to enter the Round of 32.

When it comes to the FFA Cup we are the biggest loser.
didnt think there was any such organisation as FFA
didnt think there was any such organisation as FFA
FFA no longer running the A League, but still very much in existence running ever other facet of Australian Football.

So, is it not just FA then?

Ahhhh missed that. Is now just Football Australia I see, from December.

But there can only be one FA Cup, and it won't be downunder.
Hence the FFA Cup 'branding' to stay, until they get a reasonable naming rights deal, I'd assume.
