Meh, we had a lot of hard games the last five round and have the same or better points hall to 3, 4, and 5 over that time. Jets are the form team in the comp but we don't need to outscore them, we just need to outscore the teams ahead of us. We've got an easier run of games home than most of them and a game in hand.

City look better with Maclaren but they still feel like they're on the verge of implosion. Adelaide looks very beatable, they have no healthy defenders.

I bet that is what other teams are saying about us at the moment.

Implosion maybe true but we're only down Fox. We have quite a healthy team (unless Taylor is still out).

We need to start keeping some clean sheets as the goals have dried up a little.  We're not leaking goals but our GD is now negative and the wins have turned into draws.

Doyle as well. I don't think it's quite panic stations yet as others have maybe made out but you've got to admit, winning one game in the last 6 means we really can't afford to lose any of the next three of we want to make finals. Jets are on an almighty tear at the moment, and I think it would time to panic if we don't win against CCM. It's been a long time since we've played genuinely great football for most of a match, I'd just like to see us produce that to be honest

Really - from beated finalists to currently lying in 7th with only a third of the season left to go... the theory looks pretty strong to me. Jets are on a run...doubt they can maintain it.

Graham Arnold names an Australian U23 side, that will miss the A League Round 22, with an Olympics qualifying tourney in Cambodia.

Round 22 for Nix is WSW 17th March.

*WSW could be missing 3 players in Mourdoukoutas, Majok and Baccus - who were all named in the Young Socceroos.

All started last game out for WSW verus Glory.

*One player from the 24-player squad named, will be omitted prior to the qualifiers in Cambodia.

Better than usual position for the Jets!

But yes, can't call it a good season for them at this stage but am getting scared with their recent run.

They way I look at it is I am scared with our recent run., not the Jets.

We are not winning the small percentages when they matter: a scuffed shot at an open goal, a missed penalty, etc.  In our recent run of draws I would argue we failed to win more of these games than we narrowly avoided losing any.

The refs gave us the same amount of favours as they gave the opposition, so can't even blame the conspiracy so much this season.

We made our own luck and got the rub of the grain early in the season. We haven't had a dominant performance recently.

I still think whether we are a genuine top 4 side depends on whether Singh, Rufer, Cillian, Mandi, the odd CB corner goal and Williams can all get into the hunt for goals alongside Krishna.  With maybe the odd FB and other sub goal thrown in.

If we don't start getting fairly regular goal contributions from that lot  I think we'll struggle.  If they start chiming in then we're definately top 4.

The bit of time we've had to freshen up and get some mental and physical energy back could mean we're all go.  And some of the combinations just start to click.  We were starting to look lethargic and physically and mentally not 100% over that long away journey.

Touch wood, that the run home is good.

I gave it a "qualified" uptick, pending our game against CCM.  While a laborious win is still a win, it would not inspire me with any confidence if we do not take this opportunity to improve our goals balance.
