Every second ad on TV is All Blacks related or that of another sport, and I dont think Ive seen a single AWs ad until now...

and even then Ive only seen it on the tele once. And how many years has it taken for something like this to happen? Are NZF not pushing this enough? Is this something that needs to change?

The AW's need to replace that annoying man from the ASB commercials (can't remember his name). Actually i haven't seen those ads for a while so maybe they are doing some new ones.

oh it was goldstein in the ASB ads.

What exactly should they be advertising? Buying time on TV is hardly cheap.

Maybe they should have someone try and push the AWs brand a little more, if theyre not already, they could well be doing that as of now..., someone who could approach companies and look for sponsorship deals or something? Like a sports drink company or ... anything.
Being seen on the tele regularly reminds people that the AWs are still around.

The idea is great. I have done this a long time ago and you would not believe how hard it is, even with large companies like Coke.

Apparently they are going to be on the Persil ad. I heard this from a workmate of mine who is close friends with Siggy.
EDIT: Whoops, didn't read the thread properly...

I assume NZF has some deal with Volkswagen, unless that was just for the WC, but could do something with them. Even print media would be better good.

I thought they still had the sponosrship with Volkswagen
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

also noticed that there is a special edition of Tip Top trumpet for the WC or All Blacks.

I wonder if we lose the WC again there will be as many ABs ads on the telly post WC as we're seeing now, or if NZRU pull them for a bit until the angst calms.

FYI a lot of the "All Blacks" advertising, actually 90% of it, is done courtesy of their sponsors.
The AB's don't produce adds about themselves because they're an established brand and their sponsors want to leverage off it.
The All Whites have nothing to advertise, and I doubt our sponsors have any reason to bother leveraging off our sub-par brand. Why waste the $$?
