You are kidding me. Dunedin 9 March and I heard NOTHING in the city about it?

That was a web extra done by one of our online guys who actually loves and knows his Football.

This is the breakfast segment, if it doesn't default to the right clip it's the first part of the regional round-up:

Keep watching the background during the Auckland reporter's segment

Who's going to the CHCH one this weekend? Anyone here if anything special happening. Player apperances? Free stuff?

LOL can't believe I went to Christchurch for the last few days and forgot about this.

But really I didn't even see anything in town promoting it. Continuing the low profile of football in general in this country.

I disagree in part Ahmad, the Wanganui Chronicle had 2 stories on it this week.  My family and I went over to sign it at Wembley park (where it was for most of yesterday).

Stayed to watch some local club football as well

I was referring to Christchurch, but granted I didn't see a newspaper during the time I was there.

Yeah there was nothing on at Gary Cockram. They gave out a few things a Frisbee and a mini bouncy/squishy football.

Yeah there was no advertising at all. I checked the Press (In addition to being an 'insider' there). The only Gary Cockram ad was their usual car ones.

But they even took the ball to the Rugby last week and people were signing it with go crusaders, which is really poor. Talk about poor Cantabrian attitude.

LOL @ Go 'Saders

I can't laugh at that though. It just shows me that the people at Gary Cockram Hyundai do not want to promote football at all.

Even though they are given these large balls, free promo items to give away and a wave on enthusiasm from the general public for football (All Whites, big crowd at Phoenix in CHCH). They end up taking it to the rugby and keeping the balls out of sight in their store and not doing anything to promote them.

As I said, in Dunedin I listen to the radio daily and read the paper most days - not a SINGLE thing.

And when I called up the guy was like "yeah, it's not here any more".

As a recent Chch export to Wellington I can only shake my head with despair because I know there are a lot of football fans in Chch who would have been keen to sign the ball...

This is supposed to be in Palmy North tomorrow and I haven't seen any publicity about it. Very poor. Maybe they should have made it part of boobs on bikes coz everyone knows about that this weekend.

Make Boobs on Bikes curtain-raiser to Balls on Blokes?

But seriously with the size of these balls how the hell did Hyundai drop them??

These are meant to be in Masterton today and Lower Hutt on Sat and Wgtn the following Sat but I havent seen anything in The Dom Post about them and the Brendon Foot website doesnt even have a timetable up or any mention

And yet we are so saturated with bloody Rugby World Cup PR that I'm seriously thinking I'll be ready to randomly attack rugby fans by the time it comes round

There was a piece in one of those free community newspapers in Palmerston North on the Thursday before the ball was on display otherwise I would never have known about it apart from on here.
Went down and signed it. Theres not a lot of room left on it.

whoops, I forgot to post but it wasn't in Lower Hutt yesterday. Might be Tuesday. The guy I spoke to said it was doing the rounds at various football clubs.

It will be at the Tory street branch from 8am on Monday.

Doesn't look like much room is left on it. Was there just the one as I thought they had two balls doing the rounds? And still I haven't seen any local promotion of it
