Might be far fetched, but what about Ryan Nelsen, best NZ player ever and has coaching experience

Wynton Rufer is our best ever player

Rufer best then daylight to the next.

When I left the UK to move to NZ in 2003 the first time I heard the name 'Rufer' was when we moved here. No one in the UK had even heard of him and I have followed football all my life.

With England having only won the WC once, it’s pretty clear football exists outside the UK.

Rufer Ocenia player of 20th century is no 1 NZ footballer of all time. Nelsen a worthy no 2.

Ask any German football fan of a certain age and they will certainly have heard of Wynton. Know that myself from travelling through Europe in late 1990’s

But Im sure you can name the greatest Accrington Stanley eleven of all time
