FIFA vice-president Jack Warner is keen to ensure the All Whites' pathway to any future football World Cup remains in Oceania.
New Zealand's relatively stress-free qualifying campaign for next year's tournament in South Africa has come under scrutiny and the idea of New Zealand following Australia into the Asian confederation has been mooted.
Warner says moving the All Whites into Asia would be a bad decision and he does not believe it would be good for Oceania as a confederation or for the All Whites themselves as New Zealand football is not good enough to survive in Asia. It is also felt that New Zealand needs to help the likes of Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu to bring them up to a good level.

Great for him to say that we should help out the little guys like PNG. Show us the money Jack.
Also while you are at it how about getting some of the rich European nations to help out NZ. Giving us some games would be a good start!!!

It's hardly an earth shattering exclusive that the All Whites leaving wouldn't be good for Oceania, is it?

It is not like we have been helping them already all we do is play a few games every 4 years. I think if we are to remain more games need to be played against them and teams from around the world.
