If you changed the jersey to black, then they wouldn't be the all-whites anymore. What would you call them then, the All-Blacks? I believe Hammer Head's display pic sums up my feelings on this one.

We are unique i like it that way.

Why don't they make that random bit of yellow on the sleeve black and the keeper's jersey black...Yellow seems a bit random on the strip

I agree about the yellow bits, they are unnecessary. But the idea of playing in black appals me. We've done it before, but it's just not a football colour. Having said that, the over-use of the all-blue kit is a bit perplexing.

In my lifetime supporting NZ, the home strip has always been White.  A black shirt means we have no differentiation of our Proper Football team from the All Blacks or Rugby League's Kiwis. As Hammerhead so aptly put it - Bollocks to black shirts!!!! I quite like the blue away strip too.

Who cares about differentiation.  We should be black... look at Aussie, South Africa, Scotland, Ireland, England etc all their sports uniforms are the same, so why not ours.  We were only White because FIFA made a rule stating that only Refs wore black but that rule is ancient history.  Black is our colour.

Also think of this: how many people own AW shirts... not many if any (I have three!)... When I went to Wrexham I was about the only kiwi in the crowd with a sh*te shirt, everyone else wore black league and rugby jerseys.  Compared to the Welsh fans we looked pretty average. 

BLACK IS AND SHOULD BE NZF'S COLOUR

White shirts with Black trim is just fine. Black shorts like the old days, and either black or white socks.  Its always been the colours for our sport and we should stick with them.  Just my 10c worth.  I see where you're coming from disco mart but I'm one of those old stick in the mud traditionalists! Good for you wearing the White shirt!

Yes thats right! Against Saudi Arabia in Saudi we sported a pale Blue shirt, must have been lucky cos we won 5-0 and got that playoff in "neutral" Singapore!
