We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere at the stadium!! By far the best in this country. The crowd was loud. This goes to show that football crowds are a 100% better then rugby crowds. Full participation.

Congrats to  everyone here that supported our AW's, congrats to the bahrain supporters who were gracious in defeat and didnt whinge like aussies.

Congrats A'W's! Will never forget this historic night.

Liked how they didn't rush the half-streaker and let us all have a bit of a laff at the end.

Re Fallon, he is either a devout christian or it was just the euphoria of the moment that saw him give praise to God, Jesus Christ and the power of prayer in one short interview. Those interviews were so funny yet so moving. Uh oh I'm welling up a wee bit again just thinking about all those man hugs....

Can I just say Chris Killen is an amazing football player. Absolutely amazing. He made so much space and so many chances out there. I've never seen someone who can basically hold the ball like a midfielder and then always be forward when we're going forward. An absolute pleasure to see himplay. Easily MoM for me.  F..k me what a game, what a night.  We're marching on to S.A.

You are not the only one with a lost voice.

Just back from one hell of a party at the 4 Kings and I have probably had one bevy too many.

Having savoured around 20 Scotland away games throughout Europe, including two World Cups (Italia '90 and France '98) and one Euro Championships (Sweden '92), I have never experienced passion, atmosphere and a roller-coaster of emotions like what was experienced in aisle 22 at the ring of fire tonight.

It was up there with witnessing Scotland gub England 1-0 at the last ever competitive International at the old Wembley in Nov '99.

Unbelievable!

Anyone up for a cheeky wee trip to South Africa next year?

By the way, Smithy I hope you put some money on that result tonight?

C'mon All Whites!!!

Ricki herbert's interview with harry ngata is the best of television i've seen in my life. Ricki is the happiest man in the history of the world. I can watch that over and over. The whole thing is worth that interview alone, you can't love your country more than that.

Replace Ricki with Graham Henry in the same circumstances.
"Yes, well it is  good result for NZ Rugby, but we still have a long way to go before we can be satisfied with our performance.
I will be sitting down with the other selectors tonight and anylising the video replays, blah, blah, blah...

Guess what ball all the kids in Manawatu, Northland, Tasman and Counties are going to be kicking around next winter.

Rickl sitting down last night to analyse videos. Yeah Right!!

Well that lived up to expectations!!!! Great credit to the team in a match which could have turned against us at any point. While we in the stands were completely losing our composure the boys where it mattered kept theirs, defended committedly and made good use of the ball going forward. The fact that we must have had far more shots on goal compared to Bahrain (in spite of all their possession)gave a good indication of how well the All Whites played last night.
A couple more things:
White Noise - big ups! We were in Aisle 9 and to look over and to see a full almost totally "whited out" section going for it and then so many shirts off with ten to go was awesome to behold! I didn't hear many of the chants from the(avert your eyes Frankie & Tegal) chantbook but it didn't matter. What mattered in the end was the noise and it was fantastic around the ground. they were really getting into it over our way and there were even a lot of shirts off too.
Drums - were they a worry? Were they heck as like! Hardly heard them all game. The Bahrain supporters added to a great night too. They must be gutted. zizoustainrod2009-11-15 09:01:23

Listened to the radio throughout the match. Tim Brown did this exasperated string of honest expletives, "I was so p*ssed off when I was substituted (at 90mins). I wanted to be there at the end" then he just laughed. Nice to hear a bit of passion.

The noise at the end was deafening. Voiceless, speechless, content.

When Fallon scored the commentators had to explain what happened about 20 seconds later because they couldn't hear themselves think.
Great when chants spread from section to section.
Loved the beating of the bins on the way out, that set off prolonged chanting with us packed together.
