Complete radio commentary of the game (5 hours listening pleasure!)

Should be pre-match (x2 videos), 1st and 2nd half, and post-match videos...because of the music played, copyright/spam strikes all over the place (I'm appealing)...really don't know what I'm doing...found these files on a very old USB that I thought was broken...but the NZ v Bah files were fine!!!!

Thanks to Jason Pine who sent this to me (on CDs, free of charge) in 2009...

*Tried to upload the 2nd half several times...Youtube doesn't like it...thinks it's spam (lol)...

These are amazing! Maybe try uploading to a Google Drive shared link for the second half? Means the YouTube copyright checks won't catch it but we can still listen/download.

"There it is! There it is! Better ball in, I think it's Ivan Vicelich. Unbelievable!" is a great bit of co-commentary.

Yep, 15 years on and Woodsy is the only survivor from that historic match and legendary squad, WC included of course. Just 17 close to turning 18, when he came on in the dying stages.

Just reminds you of how long he’s been around.

I remember listening to two lads on the train home from that game speculating on which big time nation would inevitably tonk us 10-0 at the World Cup. I think about that conversation every time I see anything about that squad - and you're right, absolutely legendary team

Video popped up on my YouTube feed...it brought a tear to my eye. I think I took the day off work that day. Went into town, kicked a ball around with some VUW footy friends, had food, lots of drinks...

That night, along with Roma's title in 2001 when I still had a season pass, are by far my two best football related memories

Our Bahraini friends still haven't been to a World Cup.

And they had a possibly very costly 0-1 loss last night, to what had been prior group easy beats China. Host Socceroos in a few days.

Still got my All Whites Tee Shirt for that game. Ricki got all the players to sign it. Outstanding game. Loved it when they celebrated their penalty before they took it. Pasty to the rescue.

I was in London at the time. I heard through the grape vine that there was a pub opening up for the game so went along. I remember the pub being packed, seeing a mate from high school there,(the random mentioned below). Even tv3 were there and got some of the drunkest interviews ever. It was a huge morning/day/night. This was my FB status the next day.

In an inter CBD underground British themed Melbourne pub. 3 huge roars the Rory goal, Paston pen save and full time whistle. Complete strangers hugging on each occassion.

Lots of Aussies also in attendance, and they were very very happy for us. Both teams off to Sth Africa.

Went along with some friends a UK couple, who thought Kiwis were all about rugby, and a pretty dull girl from Matamata ('how is your superannuation fund performing'). Even she loved it.

As great as that night was and as good as the experiences were in SA, I'm more hyped for the future.

We have come on in leaps and bounds since 2009.

I think the AW side of 2025 is a far better side generally (although lacking the attacking depth we had then) and would really sort out Bahrain if we were to play them.

Our goal now should be to start winning WC games.

Still the greatest game I’ve been to, everyone always talks about the Fallon  goal always feel Bertos deserved more credit as his free kicks and corners were just on point that night, but Jesus when paston saved that penalty it was lucky the stadium didn’t have a roof or it would of been blowen to bits…… and it certainly rained beer

I remember being interviewed by TV, on the street on the way to the game, and singing I wanna know... have you ever seen Bahrain, score a goal on a windy day!
