I'm assuming sky have coverage.

Good luck predicting the starting XI.

If Sky have coverage they will be using camera people and commentators on debut or with only a couple of games experience. There will be a beginning referee... just to make our baby All Whites feel at home!

I’d be very surprised if this is broadcast anywhere.  Could be very few people who actually see these AW games.

I think they should have played in on youtube - global catchment area, and free so more people would probably tune in to watch it. I know I would!

It's being broadcast by Star Sports India, ie their Sky, and per NZ Football, our Sky are seeking to buy the rights.

Globally, or in New Zealand?

I don't think the Peru game would of outranked... but certainly got close I hope.

All Indian national team games on Indian soil are generally broadcast live, as well as home tournaments involving the Indian team.

I'm pretty sure this tournament will be broadcast.

India have qualified for next year's Asian Cup and this is part of their preparation for the finals so their FA will be wnting to build interest.

When I've been there, there's been heaps of football on Indian TV, local and foreign.

They have 24 hour dedicated football channels with local and overseas content.

I once saw Auckland City live in the Club World Cup on TV in Agra.

Sky always stuff around with delaying announcements of All Whites coverage - they're probably negotiatong for a cheap price with the local broadcaster.

Indian national team games are broadcast with a decent standard of English language commentary.

Just checked today on the guide and they're playing this game on sky sport 2 live and they are also showing India vs Chinese Taipei (I haven't checked further dates but I'm guessing they're showing all/most games)

I know that all the All Whites' games are live and they seem to be showing some of the other games too.

230am? Mysky is life.

I bet Doyle has suddenly felt really old this week with this side even though he's what, 26?

Anyone know anything about Kenyan football? Are they more than just failed runners?

No doubt sauna like conditions, so hopefully for our boys that’s a cooler night slot local time.

World Rankings for the Tournament make interesting (confusing?) reading.  They are, in order of current FIFA ranking, as follows:

Country - FIFA ranking - Elo Ranking (which many believe is a better indicator)

India - 97 - 170

Kenya - 111 - 118

Chinese Taipei - 121 - 192

New Zealand - 133 - 79.

So we are bottom ranked by FIFA (surely not), and top ranked on Elo (but we are taking a development squad). What does this all mean? Bugger all, there you go.

I know, I know, its serious!

Besided being thrashed, what will the All Whites get out of these games.

They won’t be thrashed. Though if India could be very tough for this development side.

Valuable exposure for mostly a group of kids in very hot foreign conditions, that won’t be unlike playing in the Islands in 2020. Plus if one of the amateur players picks up a pro gig from being spotted, that’s a big bonus in itself.

And apparently it’s all funded by Indian FA.

What will our starting XI be tomorrow?

Thinking maybe;

Crocombe

Ingham Mitchell Hudson-Wihongi Doyle

Ridenton Payne

Lewis

Ingham                                     De Jong

Bevan

Probably a lot more people than usually watch a Nix game I'd say.

Kenya’s probably the best team in the group so will be a stern test for our kids, but any talk of ‘thrashing’ is pretty laughable tbf. Wanyama pulled out of the team at the last minute but Kenya still have some good players, like Olunga who plays for Girona in La Liga, and McDonald Mariga of Inter Milan fame.

Neither of whom are involved. It's a depleted Kenyan squad.

Can only be good for us then. In that case India will probably be best, looking at their squad vs. Taiwan some of their big names like Chhetri are there so safe to assume they picked a full strength squad on home soil.

Vs Kenya, 2-1 win for us, but we’ll dominate the game

Pros: Ingham brothers have been good, particularly Jai. Boxall and Mitchell are rock solid in defense and Crocombe looks assured. Singh creative down the left. Payne and Howieson controlling the midfield. Formation seems to be working very well and it’s positive football

Cons: The Nix contingent not doing too well - Doyle, Rufer and Ridenton could all step it up. Also a bit too much Hudsonesque long ball for my liking though it’s obvious that’s not what Schmid wants. Other than that we’re in complete control and unlucky not to be 2 or 3 up in the first 30 mins
