I was on a Mexican broadcast of the match earlier for a bit, and they must be filming it separately from Fifa+ ad their cameras are on the opposite side of the pitch!

Crocombe was pretty fantastic apart from the goal, which wasn't a howler, just one where he probably could have done better. 

I wouldn't read much into this game, given the conditions. I don't think Bell has been as bad as some people are saying either. 

All things considered the scoreline's closer than it arguably should be

Wouldn’t mind seeing a formation switch at half time. Would like to see Rufer come for Bell and have Stamenic and Garbett play as two 8’s to allow for more protection in the middle. 

Cacace also needs to start getting pinged for his All Whites performances.

Flat footed today and didn’t clear the ball before Crocombe’s howler of an effort. 

Stamenic has tried to get on the ball and make things happen a bit but has mis placed a couple passes now. 

Old has struggled recieving the ball deep in his own half with the physicality. 

Payne for me our best so far. 

Boxall and Smith is definitely not it and Paulsen needs to start vs USA.

This is honestly a waste of time... 37 degrees. Mexico players are far, far more accustomed to such temperatures. We were DOA. NZF needs to learn a lesson for this and not schedule friendlies in hot areas/months. 

This could be exactly sort of weather encounter in 2026

 it should be easier for the guys then the OFC Nation's Cup games as while its hot in California, it's not as humid as the islands are.

yes but you have weeks to acclimatise for a world cup, rather than being dumped into those conditions, against a team already well accustomed to said conditions, what is more important right now is developing our style of play which is almost impossible in such conditions

Need to make subs now, need to break momentum and our midfield is falling to pieces, everyone looking leggy now.

Edit: Fudgeing told ya. Individual errors costing us but the fact we haven't made a sub yet in these conditions is abysmal. Very unlucky deflection but no less than Mexico deserve.
