Good experienced squad and hope to win both games conceded 0 goals. Without Reid in the team, Fallon, Moss and Durante will be more important on the pitch.

Norwich City supporter since 1992, New Zealand supporter since 2010 but without Rory Fallon's winning goal against Bahrain, I won't know about New Zealand Football.

hopefully Fallon doesn't get on the pitch other than to deliver the water and pep talk. Would be surprised if Moss gets a run. Durante likely to anchor the back 4 or 5.

Usually you'd say we shouldn't play a back 5 against NC but he may use it as an opportunity to get used to the formation rather than use  a 4-3-3. This game is about winning but also combinations.

Dissapointed that Storm isn't playing. He's a great wing back who offers overlapping runs and pace. The other guys are strong but limited with ball at feet.

This sort of crept up on me....rely on Wood to win it.

how on earth Fenton gets in ahead of Roux is as much a mystery as Dyer being pickec

Perhaps Hudson seems them in different roles? Fenton can provide more to the role Hudson needs than Roux?

The point is that Fenton is not an A-league footballer, never mind international, in any position

Doyle out. Adams in.

That's a shame about Doyle, but with Adams in it gives the defensive part of the squad a more balanced look - especially if Hudson wants to play 3 CBs.

Jesus, is that guy made of glass? He's always injured!

Whose leg does Ian Hogg have to hump to get a look-in?

So we assume Doyle is not playing on Saturday then?

This is a pisstake right? In international football, the idea is not to give away fouls around the box where teams can punish you. You know that right?

Ships sailed re:Hogg. Media should be asking why roux isnt playing. Is he not eligible? Have we not got an exemption? Fenton and dyer are joke selections

Fair enough that maybe his time has gone, but he looked the goods in the opportunities to got (unlike Doyle, Colvey, etc)

And you're right - Roux is by far and away our best RB. In fact, I think he's one of our best AWs.....so it's a real mystery.

What issue do you have with Doyle? He's been solid.

I dont understand the Doyle hate, he's arguably been our best wing back since Lochhead (Although Graham looks a bloody good shout).

I know cause Doyle is a Phoenix player there is a fair degree of one-eyedness about him.....and that's understandable.

To me, he is very similar to Hogg but not quite as good - and Doyle is often injured.

It's not hate, where did I say I didn't think he was any good? I just think Hogg is better

Permalink Permalink

That's funny because I think he's one of our better players. There's nothing one eyed about it, we have good players and bad players.

The fact you rate Roux as one of our best confirms you have no real clue.

Roux is easily one of our best options at RB. That isn't even debatable, honestly. He's not perfect by any means, but I think the way he plays suits the formation perfectly.

I'm happy to concede he could be our best RB. He couldn't defend his mums honour but that says more for his game and the options at RB. As for being one of our BEST AWs, that is laughable.

He's doing all right for CCM right now, he's their captain.

Fitzgerald is our best RB but as he'll never play for us Roux is the next cab off the rank.  I also think he's continually improving and is still quite young remember.
