Rufer is shaping up to be just another one of these kids who we never see take the field, where as James would be expected to make a real good go of it.
I disagree. He was unavailable for selection for a part of our season because he was sitting exams etc. Also, he was signed with a look ahead to the future, rather than expecting him to impact the first team straight away. And he is one of the three mandatory U21 players in our squad.
James on the other hand has an attitude problem (allegedly) and has been at 7 clubs in the past 6 years. If he was really so good, why hasn't he been able to stay at a club for longer than 2 seasons?
