You are joking I hope ? ,you would get  more bonhomie at a pall bearers reunion  than I got from the miserable bar stewards in that boozer !! not one of them dared to risk a facial muscle injury by smiling and the manageress wanted DNA samples to prove we were bonafide fans before accepting the YF discount cards  !!
Okay we will fill your pub up  by publicising it for weeks before the game ( I'm sure it's always that packed on a Tuesday,yeah right ) and we do more than just gargle a few lagers , so  maybe just maybe a little  hint that it was a football night wouldn't have gone  amiss  ie no under 14 schools rugby on the tv screens all fekin night .
Call me a creative  genius but how about showing All Whites highlights from the last WC  or is that a too  left field there. At least they  could have  put some decent music on ,I reckon they played the same chill out dirge track the whole evening   only occasionally changing the volume !!
Lucky it was the only pub open on a Tuesday night in Christchurch or I would have taken my throat and my hard earned  doubloons somewhere else!
