missed tackle early on the the yanks cashed in on. Think it was the foul on Libby that resulted in the goal being scrubbed off.

Agree with the comments re keepers - I think Crocombe is still our best keeper, but these friendlies are the perfect time to switch things up, give others an opportunity and make him prove he's the best.

I do wonder if for the future there may be value in moving a left back that's slightly stronge  defensively kn in place of Cacace and the simply playing him further up as a winger. Might even get more attacking value out of him that way.

We're not going to get a lot of chances this game, so we've got to be cynical. Garbett rushed his shot in the first minute and now Payne crossed it when it was clear their CB was going to get there first. 

Why does Payne continually play piss poor crosses. They are a waste of Nix and AW possession. Just about never come off. Certainly not as good as Fenton was.

I like Cacace as a wing back, its just usually after hes done it, there is no one to actually pass too or once passed, build from, because we play 1 up front usually to hit it long too before then.

Every time i watch Stamenic play he continues to impress - the ceiling for him is very high indeed

Payne hasn’t been making his case to be an AW much in these two games. Might be carrying a knock? 

Wonder if the change with Just was pre-planned? If so like it. Was wondering if there could be a bit of undirected interchanging between Stamenic and Garbett.

Surman must be happier with this, after the Olympics.

very stuttery, skips on occasion.

Great to see a professional yellow from a NZ player... too many players have been too scared to give one in the last few games to stop counters.

Terrible pass from Bell!

US team looks pretty average, only really their two wide men look decent, defence looks as nervous as ours, central mid havent really offered much so far.
Matt Turner is class though.

Bell wasted a chance there.

Rufer getting no benefit of the doubt. He’s been getting at them all game! 

Have been enjoying watching 4-5 midfielders playing the ball forward.

Tim Payne and Elijah Just have been horrific. Both getting absolutely rinsed down that left hand side. 

Rufer and Bell in the middle is just not it. Rufer is kicking the shark out of everyone and their progressive play is awful. 

Stamenic as a 10 is good to have as a presser but it’s definitely not his best position. He struggles to play on the half turn and dribble that high.  

Hopefully in the second half we see Old and Rogerson come on and then we can Stamenic drop deeper to help get the ball higher up the pitch.

He's not been good, he runs around like a headless chook most of the time, barely makes a tackle, usually running across a player with the ball. Awful passing recently, and offers nothing in attack. Old or Singh will knock him out of the starting XI as long as Rufer gets the nod.

Combative first half but not bad. Given up a few chances but also had one or two. 

decent save from Crocombe.

I am quite happy with that half - reasonably even between the two teams. 
We created 3/4 decent half chances.
Good intent. Not perfect but so much better than that Mexico performance .
Don't forget this is a top 20 nation in the world, at home...

Same intent in the second half and we have an exciting showing to build from.

He’s wanting to increase the ball speed and find runs from his teammates. Perhaps even play some one touch.

And he’s won a lot of ball. 

He’s not guna Jonah it like Libby does.
