I would argue that Fenton at his best is better than both Boyd and Payne. I can see why he wasn't picked with his injury though.
Maybe Fenton just wanted to stay with his club to solidify his place in the starting XI, and help them win promotion?

Over promising, no. Over hyped, possibly. Too completely different things though.
Time for some lineup speculation. I'm going with a 4-2-3-1: Moss; Doyle, Reid, Durante, Roux; Tuiloma, James; Kosta, McGlinchey, Brockie; Wood.

I guess two players get chucked in the deep end. Can Tuiloma show that he potentially might be the answer to our DM problems?. Big call for a 19 yo to anchor the midfield against a good side like Uzbecks but you never will know unless you try him out. He has had a year and a bit at Marseille where they have been grooming him for that position......he will be fine IMO
Doyle's selction will complete a meteoric rise....A international before an A-League match. But he showed against the EPL sides that he can play at at a higher level.
Can't believe some people are suggesting Brockie start....on what basis? Wood will start up top. Brockie is way too slow for a wide midfielder at international level. IMO there is little basis for him to be in the squad.....however maybe this time because of injuries to Marco and Thomas. Zero goals in 40 + internationals.....LOL
