Crocombe watching the ball go past him at shoulder height, half a meter to his right, frozen to the spot with both arms by his side. Enduring moment of this world cup for me.

Well I think we've found our level - should be able to foot it with teams 20-40 on the Fifa rankings, anything over that is a stretch. Just would not look out of place in a top 3 league - looking forward to seeing him take over the star power from Wood in the future.

Would be one thing if we were beaten by better teams scoring good goals but almost every goal we've conceded at this tournament has been completely preventable.
I said early on that Bazeley was our weakest link and thats played out to be the case.

Hopefully the last we see of Bazeley Ball style of tactics. I'd swap a slow Woods for Kosta/Randell/Old, give the Belgium defence something to think about.
How you can continually misspell Wood, after 17 years in the AWs I just shake my head
And seriously you’d take off our EPL striker for an NPL bound guy

The only thing Kosta would make the Belgians think is "Why the fuck did they take off Wood?".

The more I see if Stamenic, the more impressed I am. I think he could be a lower EPL team anchor.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Kinda hope Baze brings on the players who haven't had a game yet.

Disagree, there are easily crazier things than that being said.
Also, I think his positioning and screen has saved us a lot. Not saying he's the finished product but I think he could do a great job anchoring a team

Agree, thats the problem with A-League fans, they think the leagues a way higher standard.
We are watching a team that if they could shoot a bit better it would be 6 or 7 at the moment.

Shake your head but the point about being slow is valid. Besides Wood instead of Woods, gets under your skin

Boxall on, FFS might as well give Rufer, Kosta and Smith a run.

Crocombe is up their with one of our worst keepers to ever start! Don't blame Bazely, that's all Gothard and it's simply not acceptable to not notice the technical deficiencies of those you coach

OK can we sack Baze now and not waste the best generation of footballers we've ever had?
Anyone, literally anyone! Maybe someone from here!

Has Bazeley tendered his resignation yet? A one trick Pony. Hopefully he'll get the AFC gig and do unto them what he did to the All Whites. So many players with talent under used.

Can I offer an apology to the universe. I was talking with people who asked me chances of All Whites winning and I mentioned about (which is something I got from someone I heard say it) how well Belgium apparently haven't played so well in other two games so this game could be when they really go for it....so yeah sorry everyone

I get feeling cynical right now but this is absurd. Impressed all season and will again start this season in the championship in a team with top half/playoff hopes.
When was the last time you actually watched a league one match?

you then haha.
Why pick Rufer, Bayliss, Kosta and AP when you ain't even gonna play them.
I am critical of Rufer but he could have done a job in the second half against Egypt if Baze wanted to contain the lead when we were up 1-0 at HT.

Can't call this a crazy take when someone here is seriously calling for Kosta over Wood.

Are you serious? The guy started for 3 champions league teams and started against Man City twice at their ground yet you think he is League One. Swansea fans think he is great and he starts in the championship week in week out.
Get a grip. The guys the best 6 we could ever see play for the All Whites.

The worst take I heard was on the radio this morning when someone was confident that we would break history and get our first WC win.

Obviously there are quality differences but we also look really really poor coached, the goals we've conceded haven't exactly been worldies
Man you write some crap 💩
We need another coach for the next step in this team’s development
But there is a massive class difference today
See that corner where they counter after a brilliant soft touch and lay off from De Bruyne. Would have been a lovely goal if they had scored.

I dont think he means this match.
Rich to accuse someone else of writing crap when you've been rubbishing obvious criticisms of Bazeley for months.

Jesus and now De Vrijs. Bazed really is just giving anyone a run at this point.
I can only imagine what this team could've achieved with someone like say.....Des in charge.

I meant the first two games, we scored twice against Iran and should have won.
We scored in the first half against Egypt and held on to half time. With a tactical change or two and given the situation we could have won that too.
I may write 'crap' but I wrote this game off before Belgium drew two games in a row.

What I love about this comment, is soo much is assumed (and in mine too) and the reply poster positions themselves as correct. This is a great bit of commentary on how people view this forum, and others like it. Probably. When in actually fact none of anything anyone post on here is correct, as it's all opinions (bar RR on transfers and 2nd Best on contracts). Good stuff, love to see it.
