If I were to speculate, I would think not and don’t recall anyone mentioning it here. The Phoenix were on an anti kiwi recruitment thing (paraphrase) because of no international windows. Once that’s officially sorted, they would be players I would trial

Payne, Howieson, de Jong, Gulley and many others would all be quite comfortable in the A-League
