I reckon both fairly softish yellows, especially the 2nd.
Yeah I agree. I actually thought it looked a bit like Kosta slipped? (or maybe that was just me)

Literally now never a better chance to finally beat a CONMEBOL team. Soft but well milked by Barba.

Hahaha how brain dead to pull that when you're on a yellow!
Would rather have 11 vs 11 TBH.
Completely changes the game. Very soft in a friendly game. Ref just ruined the game.

I miss Kosta (as a Nix supporter).

Would have scored that even with 11 of Chile on the field probably.

F off the commentator. It’s not a soft yellow, it’s the same yellow he gave to our combative title winning DM 20 minutes in or so.

I don’t wanna hear about which PL clubs are in for him. He made a bad challenge on Kosta earlier and a dumb challenge there. He’s off.

I remember a time years ago when Steve Price (for the Warriors) unexpectedly found space and had a 50m run to the line. He almost keeled over from the effort and looked like a fish out of water. Stamenic on that 1 on 1 looked similarly awkward.

Much better today.

Bell a big part of that. Just seems much more relaxed.

Cant believe complaints about the ref. He gave a yellow to Bell for the same thing early in the game and the Chilean was already on a yellow, why would you grab Kosta.

Think we so use to A-League referees, we aren't use to a referee that's showing some consistency.

Bell's yellow much more clear, the 2nd yellow was hardly a grab (Kosta sold it) and it was also not stopping a really promising attack.

I just hope we're not as shit as we were on Friday.

Good to see Old in at LB/LWB.

Just give us a performance out there tonight please lads. 🙏
Good to see they've listened to this.

Fortuitous red card, but we need to take the opportunity now.

Two on one or he wouldn’t have done it. Why take a foul if there’s little benefit? Contact exactly the same as Bell’s. Grabbed him around the collar after he’d got away to stop the attack.

2 goals? Against a South American side? Without Chris Wood? In this economy?

We NEED to keep the foot on the neck from here. There is absolutely nothing to lose but everything to gain by trashing a “much better” team. We need goals goals goals to build the belief into the subconscious.

Excellent half from us. No one could have expected that after what was served up on Friday.

More of the same in the 2nd half please.

Absolutely.

We’re getting a look at the post-Wood era here: Kosta!

Against Finland we needed Just, Stamenic or Thomas to control the game and get us going forward. Payne too as a senior player.

I think those three players backing up have been much better without the responsibility that Bell is taking on.

Great atmosphere at the park. Didn’t know Chile had so many supporters here. They were in full voice for their national anthem, even after the music stopped. True passion

Much much better performance than Friday. The red card of course changes everything, and so if the AWs go onto win it then becomes hard to take too much out of the result.

Still based on this 45 mins re WC connotations - Paulsen is no 1, Payne has played well and has probably settled RB discussions, plus if Wood is out it maybe Barba who starts ahead of Waine.

Also what a difference Bell has made. It might be Thomas on the pine at the WC, but he'll get good mins regardless.

Keep it up for the next half boys

Great also that we haven't just started dominating because of the extra man advantage, we had more possession and were looking the more likely before the red card.

This is good positiv Football, more than deserved 2:0 lead for us.
Chile, even with 11 men, no coming out if there own half.

I think Thomas starts at the world cup, take this line up and drop Randall, McCowatt and Kosta, Bring in Thomas, Cacace and Wood. Just shifts to RW, Old to LW, Stam to 10.

Then the only problem is which 2 of our 3 CB start...

Great first half. Paulsen is class and should be our no1. Bell is having a good game. I really like Old and Randall down the left. Lots of pace and skill. 100% better all round. We need to keep the pressure on second half

Missed the first 40 mins 🤦‍♂️.  Paulsen has to be our #1 right?  He just got that lucky 🍀 talisman aura about him, right?

Good game Bell AND when Chile got a red he moved further AND stamenic went as holding,  Chile players are targeting Bell.

Old played good in a makeshift position , so NZ Is playing 3 UP font  Randall mccowatt AND barbarouses now AND just Is un midfield

The keeper seemed way better than the other guy.

Motm Bell AND Barbarouses very near him
