Congrats Egypt. They were clearly better for 40mins of the second half. Unfortunately for us, we were better for the rest of the game but couldn't always make it count.
Thought Bell, Stamenic and Just were very good again. Wood was patchy and seemed to be deflated rather than spur the lads on once the goals went in.
Baz got for the first half correct but missed opportunities in the second to influence things.
Big game against Belgium!
Yeah a bit disappointed by Wood. The controversial ref calls seemed to get to him, that and the fact he still hasn't scored. Like giving Just an early blast for taking the shot rather than centring to his skipper.
Nellie was undoubtedly more of a follow me, less flustered leader.
Did the Egyptian CB Rabia who came on in the 1st half, do a better job on the Woodsman than the guy who started? He won far less headers, chest downs in the 2nd half, and that was a huge negative.
More than Crocombe's errors, I'd be tempted to start Paulsen due to AP's stronger passing out accuracy. Without that high quality Woodsman hold up play lasting all game (like the Iran match) we lose every time.
