Gray (age 21) has significant more upside I'd say than seemingly less athletic Woud (27). 
But Woud might be coming to an age where there are far less of those howlers, he had when younger.

We wait to see. Auckland may yet re-sign Sail when Oli is fit. In which case Woud could just be that one bad game away from being dropped again.
