Anyone in the Hutt valley heading to a pub to watch? I was going to come into the city but the stupid train situation came up. Don't mind watching at home but would rather pub if possible

wish I was working from pub tomorrow :(

Took the day off at the start of the week to run some errands and then come into town to head to a pub to watch but the train strike has changed my plans.

Anyway, just do it. Block out your calendar with "Stakeholder engagement meeting" and away you go ;)

Anyone know the best place for a group of 17 year olds to watch the game as I hear Four Kings is R18?

Realistically, how busy is 4Kingz going to be tomorrow? Can't really book for one I guess?

Anyone tried the sportscafe? Keen to grab some lunch and then park up at a bar for the afternoon.

It'll be full, but there will be plenty of standing room available. Don't let it being full put you off coming down!

Yep. I just keep saying to myself "All the pressure is on Peru, everyone expects us to lose"

The game is on at 1:15pm Aussie time, so I have to sneak away from work somehow..

Jason Pine just tweeted that there was a loud explosion of Fireworks over the team's hotel (about 2.30am Lima time). Dirty bast#@ds

Surely our players will have some good ear plugs and eye coverings. Maybe the fans will be tired from staying up all night and lose their voices

I imagine everything is double glazed etc to help minimise noise.

So just found to my disgust that Foxtel/Bein aren't televising the game. WTF? They show every WC qualifier from deepest darkest Africa, plus a bunch of meaningless friendlies but not this one?

Q: If I manage to avoid hearing the result is there some website that shows a replay of the game without giving the score in advance? I can't watch it live online because of bloody work.

WTF, Is this true? Why not? So if you're in Australia, no way to watch it? Fudge.

Bein have confirmed that they will be showing it

@beINSPORTS_AUS. Thanks for showing All Whites Vs Peru on Saturday. Any chance you will be showing the 2nd leg on Thursday as well

Is anyone watching the Aus V Hon game? Terrible. Neither side deserves to be in the WC tbh.

Game time for All Whites/Peru is 10:15am for me here in the Philippines. Looking forward to this. I've been watching and following New Zealand football since 1968 and this coming game ranks right at the top for pre-match suspense.

I hope so but I never came across such a place in South America with double glazing especially in Peru.

I am!  Australia looks like getting through.  Ahead right now and closer to score than Honduras, but this is football and anything can happen, Honduras still only a goal away from the World Cup thanks to away goal rule.

I find it an exciting game.

I guess at least with the away goal rule, even if Peru stuff us it will keep us watching for longer. Basically gives us a double chance.

I feel like Socceroos v Honduras is basically what could happen to us. Honduras completely outclassed.

Just finished watching the Australia v Honduras game. WE WON!!! We're going to RUSSIA! So relieved.

Anyway, just wanted to say that I hope the AWs don't fall into the trap of playing defensively like Honduras have. You need to go out and try and score that away goal early and pile all the pressure back on the Peruvians.

It will be a great game and I think you guys have a real chance to get through to Russia.

If the All Whites are going to win over any neutrals tomorrow, it will be via our extreme underdog status rather than our football. It's gonna be hoofball city and Chris Wood will cut a lonely figure for prolonged periods. If Peru go 2 up we're toast - when did we last score 2 goals against non-Oceania opposition?

Backs to the wall stuff and a definite focus on containment, especially for the first hour and then...it's all on. Anyway, off to bed to dream of  a miracle. It ain't probable but ain't impossible. COYAW!!

The defensive setup works great until it's broken...once the defensive team has to chase the goal it can go quite badly

saw the last goal...how come it was not a red card and a pk? Also was the first goal a deflected own goal?

Australia could have added a 4th at the end...

Last Aussie goal? Probably because there were other defenders in front of Kruse.

Yes the fist goal was a massive deflection and commentary said it went down as an own goal.

After a lame first half Australia took control. They still have quality forward issues but earned a place in Russia
