I was wondering the same thing.

I sense a couple of late red cards for SI. They look pretty frustrated.

After 70min from this game, i still can't see what Hudson can see in Dyre

I can already see the foreign yobbos teasing us for letting three goals in against SI, sad that they're all relatively soft penalties

Themi was good in midfield. If Reid and Smith are fit then imagine those two plus Boxall the back 3. Themi + Thomas in midfield and maybe WeeMac with Wood and Rojas, or no WeeMac and Kosta. Kosta has not been that great in the past couple of games.

One news app on my phone: "All whites held to shock draw".

Nov 6 home playoff I think I just heard.

Is this confirmed? I've seen it in news articles, but FIFA just has the play-off games window is November 6 –14.
Wiki also has the dates as 1st leg 6th second leg 14th.

The Stadium CEO answered with this a few weeks ago, these are the dates booked at the stadium

That's when the stadium's booked. The window is 6-14 November.

The actual dates won't be confirmed until after the opposition is known (as the dates will have to be agreed between NZF and the South American team). If I were a betting man, I'd say the game here will be 8 November, and 14 November there (which would be 15 November here).

Playing Friday/Saturday then Wednesday (NZ time) is the best use of the window for both teams, would be crazy short turnaround from leaving their clubs to first leg. (Different to 2013, when the first leg in Mexico meant players could arrive their quicker).

Both inter-continental play-offs were a week apart last time around.

Also, good luck convincing the South Americans (and FIFA for that matter) that doing a trip to NZ from SA and back in 3-4 days is a good idea.

Yeah considering the conditions and the starting 11 having four 20 year olds, it was pretty easy. SI with nothing to lose resorting to a lot of shots from outside the area. One of the pens was highly debateable.

So instead we'll convince them to pack the travel into the first four days of the window and have 6 days back in SA?

Just a side note, it's really great having football at the forefront of the sports news again. The 6-1 win was top story and the 2-2 draw was second on Newshub. Pretty happy the media are catching on :)

Agree. Hudson should try this v Japan. I'd also try 2 banks of 4 defenders with Thomas & Wood in a 4-4-1-1 and see if we could hold out for a half and maybe score on a breakaway.

Dura in back four second half was painful..pass forward pass back etc. Okay result in heat but as a plan B team it wasnt a great watch.

Our media (including Radio NZ for whom club football means EPL) are usually happy to report on All Whites, and good on them. It is only the Phoenix and the A-League that they cannot get their heads around (even if they report on NRL or Super Rugby which is pretty much the same concept).

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
