Ambassador Ahmed
Through my time in this forum, I found that Mr. Ahmed should be an Ambassador for the spirit of sport in New Zealand, is one of the most active members, was able to convey his message to the people of Bahrain, has received great welcome from Bahrain.
There is high praise from the masses of Bahrain wonderful treatment that was given to the Bahraini delegation, and they Thanks very much for that, and wish you every success in the World Cup, everyone is unanimous in support and encouragement for NZ team.

Mr. Bahrain, I found that the game on the weekend brought out the very best of the spirit of sport.
Most of your countrymen were very well behaved, as were most of ours.
I was pleased that before the game we were able to support our teams as "foes" or "enemies", but always in a respectful and friendly manner. More importantly I was glad that after the game we were still able to be friends and support each other. I know that many people here were touched by the sorrow of your country and sympathised with this - we would have been equally heartbroken by a loss.
Bahrain will rise again! Let us hope that the friendships and bonds between our countries will be lasting. Bahrain will always have a place in my heart
Much love for country of Bahrain

If you intend to go to Umrah, come to Bahrain and I'm going with you by my car.
Think about it
Will be a fun ride, and I also welcome your family and friends.

Bahrain lad, if you ever meet Razaq (spelling ?) Bahrain Team Organizer, tell him I'm sorry he thinks I betrayed his trust. I didn't cost him his team's win.
I really am a Sydney FC supporter & I was genuinely warmed by your teams enjoyment of training together. It was a great experience to watch a foreign team train at a ground only 5 mins from my house.
I bumped into him late at night after the game on Saturday in Welly.
I was picking up a Falafel from a Turkish takeaway restaurant & he was shocked to see me wearing NZ All White shirt & scarf.
He looked very disappointed.

There is no problem,u have the right to encourage the team that you want.
Do not care..
Is to have sufficient experience in the absorption of frustration.

Traitor a long shot but I have a contact for the PR manager for either the team or the Bahraini football association or both (the business card suggests both but I am unsure how the organizations are structured). If you want to I could forward this on to see if you could find Razak - up to you.
PS I have a photo of us on the concourse going nuts with a big banner with complete strangers after the game for you.

Does anyone have footage of the "chant-off" between Bahrain and All Whites fans before the game? I know there were some media cameras in there. It was an amazing moment, and although tense, it exhibited the kind of spirit we have been talking about - it was nothing malicious.
Oh Wellington is wonderful. We got the wind, the rain and the phoenix. Oh Wellington is wonderful.

Am trying desperately to make contact with any Bahrainis that were at the game to share media but drawing blanks so far. I guess it doesn't help they are probably distraught. Will keep trying and let you know.
