ok so you are never in the zone and don't care about Martin.

How often are you physically in the zone NP?
Just out of interest, even though you've not been in the Fever Zone, do you feel like a part of the Fever?
No ulterior motives with this question, just curious as to how membership to the Fever is viewed by others.
I can't speak for my namesake, but even though I live in Auckland and only have frequented games up here (never in the zone)I feel part of the fever.
Is that possible?
absolutely possible.
The short answer is yes too. To me The Fever is more than the Zone. I suppose its up to the individual as to how many touch points constitute being a Feverite. In my case I place myself in that category because I am a member of this forum, participate in it and am considered one of the most sensible members of the forum with well thought out points of view and displaying utmost respect for others, I am a Nix fan, I attend games when I can, I actually care about the club and how we support it. Others might consider themselves Feverites just because they are fans of the team, who knows. It's a bit like being a Maori, if you consider yourself to be one, you are one lol.
I'm gonna ignore the hilarious parts of that post to note that the column where David Burgess said we should be run memberships appears to be taken down off Stuff.
looks like an accidental side effect of trying to clean up the organisational nightmare that stuff is. sad times :(

Why can't we start - you did!
So that NZF CEO, what's he been up to lately?
Keeping a very low profile. May take a business class flight to Ausi however to keep his profile up and take in this training camp and this warm up game against what are their names?
Aah, so this is what the pick of 179 candidates after an extensive worldwide search (PO179CAEWS) has been up to...
Looks exciting.
Looks exciting.
Hmm, maybe; any kid can already apply to US colleges through any one of a number of channels.
but,but... PO179CAEWS!!
NZ FIFA ranking down 12 places to 161..
... just below Ricki & the Maldives on 160... oh the irony....
Still the highest ranked team in Oceania. #basketcase #glasshalffull.
So in the six years since we were unbeaten at the World Cup we have dropped about 100 places. Well done NZF. We really seized that opportunity
It's been said a million times before but FIFA rankings are bollocks. They are as much a measure of how often you play and who you play as they are about actual strength. The ELO rankings are more based purely on performances. They have us at 73, which seems overly generous but much closer to the truth than 161st

Expect us to skyrocket up the rankings after the Nations Cup. Combination of lots of games played with the fact it's a continental tournament = lots of points.

As long as we win.

Stupid FIFA rankings can also make it hard for us to get decent opposition as any opponent looking at getting seeded at tournaments that use FIFA rankings as the way to seed the teams, won't want to play us because even with a win against us could still see their rankings fall because the amount of points they would win could be less than others and see them fall in the rankings
#bringbackRicki
Surely we should be using our extensive network of NZ coaching contacts worldwide and be looking to get a game against the Maldives?
no matter how bad NZF is people still find a way to justify the shocking state of it. Sure the fifa ranking system is shark but we've wasted our chances to build on the 2010 world cup and its pathetic and sad. such a waste.

While those involved in the game are aware of the shortcomings on the FIFA system, you can almost guarantee that idiot Andrew Saville will be grinning like a loon as he reads out our ranking on the news.
I'm not defending NZF, just saying that there's plenty of other sticks to beat them with. The ranking system is so flawed it's beyond a joke.
I don't actually see anyone on here or elsewhere saying NZF haven't fudged up massively over the last few years, except for NZF themselves
while the ranking system is flawed it does put teams in different pots like now Australia cannot play all the best other Asian teams in the next round of wcq.
But arguably the most important from a nz stance is getting a top 25 nation to play in nz to give the code a lift.
Could your Aussie lads move into the top 25 so we can schedule a game against you please?

We'd do better in the rankings if we had games organised, NZF don't organise games ergo they fudgeed up our rankings.
PO179CAEWS has just decided to move the goalposts and awarded a National league licence to an entity that did not bid. Hmm.
