Clayton from 'Tuned in' has given us a "Freeview" box at short
notice to be able to show the game tomorrow.
That man deserves a DB.
Cheers guys, I'll put aside exam study to be there in white!
Any truth in the rumor that Winston
Peters is performing a Hakka before the game?
That'd be interesting, i've never seen a haka been booed at before
See the game live (slope off work or lectures) at the lounge from 16:00.
News just in.
Uni is finished, no more lectures (at least Victoria).

Wish it were that easy...some of us have exams
Why isn't this game on Sky TV and not some random new channel
nobody gets? Give yourself an uppercut New Zealand Football.
Sky TV Stooge.
Is it gonna be on the radio?
who will be doing commentary for tv1? will the people doing it
tommorow be the same as the guys that do the beckham game? i
wouldnt imagine tv1 have a football commentator on the books, maybe
john mcbeth or pj montcommentary will be roped in. dewhurst
making the media switch maybe?
Remembering fellas that the match is NOT on TV1 till 10pm.
2235 to be exact, according to the SKY schedule on their website. Having said that they have been known to be very very very wrong before. I don't think they've quite sorted out A-league time zones yet...

Because we want more people watching + playing the beautiful game in this country...By putting it on a free to air channel in a sports fan time slot you would get the most people watching it...
oh... I'm not Graham S nor do I have anything to do with NZF

I tried calling radio Tarana http://www.tarana.co.nz/ in jafaland yesterday (no answer). Could there be a chance they will cover this game? I will try to contact them again today.

What time is kick off?
Clayton from 'Tuned in' has given us a "Freeview" box at short
notice to be able to show the game tomorrow.
4pm at the lounge.
If you have any TV probs, Clayton's your man. ( might get him
on the Fevercard)!

Just thought I would throw that in for those who were thinking of just heading home and watching the game after work.

So is the http://www.nzsoccer.com/page/2007_fixtures.html site
wrong about the kick-off time then?
Please feel free to answer this Graham S.

God only knows SiNZ.
All we can go on is the TV schedule time, but I'll ask NZF for some clarity.

It was their media officer who told me the 6pm NZT kick-off after I
emailed a couple of weeks back asking and pointing out that it
should be on their site. Perhaps it got changed and they just
haven't updated it.
It doesn't exactly engender a sense of professionalism on
their part if it is wrong.

I don't think 10:30pm is a sports fan time slot
A sports fan wants to what the game live.
Why does the netball and things like that get put on live at
7:30pm? That is never delayed.
delayed by 6.5 hours to start at 10:30 is a terrible time slot!
No

Just spoke to radio Tarana they say they are doing live coverage
starting at 1600. Their frequency in Jafaland is 1386am. They are
also doing a webcast. http://www.tarana.co.nz/
From what i have read this game kicks off at 16 00 Fiji time. We are one hour ahead of Fiji so it should start at 17 00. But remember this is Oceania so anything is possible.

TVNZ and NZ Football now agree that it is 17:00 NZ Time.
Fever Lounge...
Fever Lounge...
Excellent to have that cleared up, what a releif...now i can do some work
Man all this TV mixup with times and bullsh*t airing of matches is
really starting to piss me off bigtime, at least the venue is good.
well at least there is going to be a game....lets hope there
dictator is not a complete muppet, unlike our elected MP mr peters.
might still go there at 4....you never know!
G
so why do we need freeview to watch it... I remember freeview in
the UK had extra chaneels compared to council housed TV but they
were all on sky..
Good to see a solid number of supporters at the Fever Lounger yesterday.
Doing our country proud.
I got bored and started hoping Fiji would score.
I am a Phoenix fan first, AW fan second.

Watched the game at the lounge ,good turn
out .
Loved the commentary was that guy related to Fred deJong?

Jeez the coverage was poor (watched it on TV1 last night), 1 camera
from 50 yards away, no replays - commentator spouting on on how
great the town was for sugar cane production - numpty.
ps. Is it mostly Indian Fijians that play football?

The team was about 50/50 so you would assume not.
