It is being shown on EUROSPORT2, an online addition to Eurosport. So there should be a reliable feed online thru a variety of onsellers.

this is very interesting, wonder why its getting coverage when it was suppose to be behind closed doors.

Yeah for sure. Especially with this 30 min half thing. So is this a "friendly" or not? I guess not because of the half but them televising it makes me think otherwise...

my hopeful lineup

           Bannatyne

       Barron Mulligan
MacGlinchey       Clapham
        Wood    Brockie

ran out of players who probally wont be starting and this is my lineup with these guys. and possible get Wee Mac and Clapham to slide into the centre of the park occasionly.

Peverley get a run?

No Nelsen - he has an ear infection or something, but he'll be alright for Slovakia, apparently. Not necessarily a bad thing anyway, let the other backs have a start.

Really surprised there is coverage of this game, doesn't that defeat the point of having it behind closed doors. And if there is online coverage, why isn't there television coverage. Hmm.

Doubt it. I think he'll be spending the next few weeks sightseeing.

Perhaps just South American coverage?

That would still be a bit weird. I reckon the coverage will just be delayed footage taken from a camera phone hidden under the jacket of one of the South African security guards uploaded on to the internet.

yeah mcglinchey really needs  a run. I wish they had tried someone other than Christie in the past games. Seeing as they took so many midfielders, they should be playing them. I really think they took too many.

In my opinion we dont need mulligan, christie, barron, mcglinchey and clapham as backups for Brown and Elliot. Really could have taken costa instead.
But seeing as we have so many players there, we should be giving them a chance

I guess it was really down to Brockie or Kosta. But I too would've taken them both. Kosta would be great off the bench, can't say the same about Mulligan/Christie/Barron.

So you'd rather have taken Costa (an attacking midfielder transposed as an out of position short striker), over Barron (established squad member), Christie (experienced squad member) and Mulligan (the hardest working player in the camp Ricki said) but not over Clapham even though Costa doesn't play in the midfield??

Hmmm. I'll have whatever you're drinking.

So 13.30CET - is that 11.30pm tonight or are we getting delayed coverage?  I could work it out myself but I'm notoriously bad at converting from different timezones.

I'd like to see start with:

                     Bannatyne

       Siggy       Boyens       Vicelich

Mulligan      Barron   McGlinchey      Smith

            Brockie                 Wood
                          Killen
You know we belong together...

I like that but maybe mix it round a bit with Mulligan in Barron's position, Barron playing attacking mid, Brockie dropping to the right wing, and Wood and Killen both playing at the front together.

I think he means that you have Barron, Christie Clapham and Perverly all covering Brown and Elliot. You don't need that many players to fill 2 positions. I would rather have Costa there to play as a winger or someone who can run of the big forwards we have.

           Bannatyne/Moss

Siggy         Boyens       Vicelich

         Mulligan      Barron

Brockie    McGlinchey   Clapham

           Wood       Killen

This would give most of the players a run in something more akin to their natural positions.

Quite possibly, but are the last 5-6 players in the squad likely to get a run? You could just as easily interchange Mo, Larry and Curly into the last 5-6 spots for all its worth...

So you could just say that there is no point in even discussing those 5-6 players then? I would just rather have enough players to cover all different positions.

For me I would like to see

                            Paston

           Siggy         Reid        Vicelich

                   Mulligan    Elliott
Brockie               WeeMac                 Smith

                   Wood           Killen

but tbh I would just be happy with Mulli/Clapham to get a run.

I'm guessing game may be postponed in an official sense (becaase it never really existed in an official sense). To stop all the betting etc.
Then training exercise can proceed.

I'm guessing, but sounds plausible.

I know, I know, its serious!

Yeah, it's probably their way of saying "Updates for Chile vs New Zealand, cancelled." I'm guessing Soccernet have only just realised it's behind closed doors, as will the people hoping to stream it.

Yeah. I'm sure the facebook page for the all whites would have said if it had been really postponed.
