I don't want to come across all obsessive,
but Wood has no 's' unless it's possessive

Horatio Nelson was a great admiral,
but Ryan Nelsen (with an 'e') is much more admirable

Eliot, T.S. was a literary great,
Simon Elliott's the key to our World Cup fate.

Don't use one 'h' when writing Lochhead,
Or all Yellow Fever will think you're a blockhead

Unless you're on the pish or like sauerkraut,
The German-born no.9 is called Smeltz

Down Klagenfurt way his name rhymes with cookie,
But Brockie's the name of the Newcastle Jets rookie.

Hope we keep similar line-up, maybe Killen back in. And try someone new with Elliot.

i am guessing the last game v chile will be really low key (apparently likely to be played in 30 min thirds) so this will be last chance to play at a decent level of intensity pre Slovakia. Slovenia should be up for it being in Slovenia and being their last home game before world cup.

That's pretty cool.  Are they players?  Hard to tell if the Kiwi one is Reid or not but I'm leaning towards no it isn't.

That is one sweet picture. Gonna be a wicked game. Be oh so sweet if we win it.

I am not sure about the 3-4-3 though.. Distressing seeing smeltzy have to run back and play a defence role.. I do want to see Reid and Wood start again definitely.

Any word if anyone is showing it in town? Kings for breakfast?

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

It's definitely not perfect but it's worked pretty well the last few games..

Do we start Moss at all?
Reid has to be our right sided defender but who goes along with him and Nelsen?
McGlinchey in a straight swap for Christie.

I recon Banners should get a wee while on the pitch, just incase the worst possible senario in SA happens.

Am looking forward to waving my flag and Nix scarf at this game on Friday... having been at 3 internationals over the weekend (Klargenfurt & Graz).

I'm quitely confident of another good result.

In the euphoria of the after match group fan photos, I swapped my All Whites Scarf for a Slovakian one. Slightly stuck for a substitute this Friday night. Nice that Ryan and couple of the others wandered over to our side away from the tunnel to give us a wave and thumbs up.
After all the travel for us fans a bit of mutual acknowledgement is special.

Maybe Wee Mac in the first half, Mully in the second? I do want to see what Mully is capable of.

I don't know who that Maori boy is, but he looks depressed, what with the lead singer of Laibach about to bite his head off.

Hmmm....yep. Ricki's default philosophy, which has worked well, is don't change a winning team. Wee Mac hasn't earned his stipes, and I'm not convinced he and Elliot make a good midfield combo. Both him and Mully would be cover for Elliot potentially as playmakers.

This will be the really interesting question for me: how will McG, Mully, Barron and Christie end up?

What is Mully's record on defence? Surely Barron, Brown and Christie are vying for the run all day midfielder role?

So who is there to look out for as quality in Slovenian team?

Know of Rene Krhin, who is considered a top prospect at Internazionale
Samir Handanovic, was also a prospect that I'm not sure has turned out or not, but plays for Udinese.

"generalka pred svetovnim prventsvom" = "dress rehearsal without pilot title". Er, okay. The first bit makes sense...

Koren plays for West Brom

Clapham to play surely
he can do it

'svetovno prvenstvo' = 'world championships'

In other words, the World Cup.

As for their team, Samir Handanovic is a very good keeper, I rate him. The captain is Robert Koren from West Brom, solid midfield player, the heart of the team. Up front Mile Novakovic and Zlatko Dedic are the main targets, both play and are relatively successful in the Bundesliga.

Not much to be scared of in terms of their individual quality, but it's a well-drilled, disciplined and organised team that fights very hard.

I just hope that we stop getting a bit lazy at the start of the second half.. Just what I noticed, happen with Aussie as well. Lucky we had Paston to a brilliant save!

Slovenia sound like hte European version of us.

Should be a good game. I would like to see Mulligan get a game. Christie did well but put us under a bit of pressure at times with his passing.

That way Ricki can go in knowing who to use out of the two to play with Elliott should Brown not make it back. With us playing a more direct style of football i am not sure wee mac fits into our system at the moment.

Barron alongside Elliott before WeeMac or Mully, definately. Expecting Christie to start there again though, Killen in the only change.

Yeah that was cool.  Many Serbs and Slovakians wanted my Nix scaf is exchange for their ones, I said no at the time but wish I had swapped it now for a Serbian one as a "War Prize/Victory Prize".

I fail to see how this warrants a starting spot.

I know the time is at the top of the thread, but can someone please confirm that it is

a) being shown live on SS3
b) if so, this is not the same KO time as the Serbia game.

I'm trying to work out time difference, and the NZF website lists the game as 8pm, and has the same for the Serbian match. I'm pretty sure that these are incorrect, as there is no way 8pm in Austria is 10pm in Thailand.

I need to know whether I'm watching the game at 10pm, or at 1:30am as this thread would indicate.

Cheers
