According to the NZF website the away leg will kick off at 4:30am on Sunday 11 October NZ time.

Will Four Kings be open for this or will they need to get a special licence?

I assume game will be on Sky.
I vote play it on Prime too!!

I applied for a special last week. Its all good, Four Kings will ber open right through serving beer those staying up and breakfast for those getting up!!
We have also asked to have the street blocked off outside the bar for the home leg. We are going to havea huge party!

Nice! Planning to be there from about 11.

The blocked off street sound amazing to. May encourage people to get to the game, if they know there will be a street party after.

Great Work.

Also: SKY or TVNZ?

I really hope TVNZ can nab this one, Highly doubtful but they got the last world cup so I can't see why they wont get the next one. And this game could be good.

Also - great work with the street party. I have people i know who will be keen.

Yeah i don't mind SKy having it. Lets hope they have good advertising for it. Would expect to start seeing All White Stories on the Crowd Goes Wild, as it is Prime/SKY. So does that mean SKY have thye home leg as well. Sorry if that has already been answered.

Was kind of hopeing it would be Tv1. They would advertise the sh*t of it if they were to be showing it.

They may have some delayed coverage, but they're well behind it anyway.  Witness stories like the song the other night.

Biggest problem with coverage currently is that Andrew Gourdie is away so TV3 have stopped showing any football at all.  Pretty embarassing for them really.

How's my driving? - Whine here

No it isn't.  The question is "Do I need to take Monday off?"

The kings gig sounds truly excellent, I can't wait.

Can anyone confirm if this is definitely on SKY? And if so, will it be on SS1 or a premium channel?

Yes saw it in the october skywatch mag, on sky sport 1, coverage starts at 3:15am

Note: That's a 3.30am kickoff according to Skywatch mag- not 4.30am as everywhere else (including the nzfootball.com website). So, tune in at 4.30am and you'll miss the first half!!!!
What gives- did NZ Football forget to allow for daylight saving or what????
Can anyone authoritatively confirm what the actual kickoff time is for the first leg????

Confusion Sorted: Sky TV are wrong. See other forum "NZ v Bahrain Official Thread" where a Bahraini chap has confirmed local Bahrain kickoff time plus corresponding NZ time.
Kickoff is in fact 4.30am NZT (6.30pm Bahrain).

Also see excellent site for current Manama time and weather conditions, plus forecast for the next week (a hot week ahead over there- up to 38 degrees C. and mostly in mis-thirties during the day- at 6.30 pm today in Manama it was 32 degrees C.!!!!) :
Using this site this morning a short time ago, I confirmed 6.41pm Manama time was 4.41am NZ time...

Sorted: It's Sky TV's schedule that's wrong. So, a warning to everyone about trusting the time given in the Skywatch magazine. Kickoff is 4.30am, not 3.30am. (Sky have the game finishing at 5.30am).
Incompetents!

Oh gay. Here was me thinking we got a full hours build up with it starting at 3.15.  and the game on at 4.30. But i guess we will have to be content with 15 minutes?? (I mean its not like its a big game or anything, and i am sure they have a lot of other importnat sport to play at that time of the morning )

15 minutes of Elrich at that time of the morning is enough to put us all to sleep I reckon.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

So 4:30 i presume there will be a live feed somewhere? Doesnt look like ill have access to SKY.

Any idea where all the Aucklanders will be watching the game? I know foxes will stay open to show the game, I saw it on the chalkboard last night.

Ok I need help - I need to watch the game next Sunday but don't have sky. I'm 20 so that's not a problem but my cousins who are coming to the 2nd leg with me are keen to see the game too. But they are all 15 and below.
So how do I sort something out? Hoping there will definitely be a stream but is this confirmed? We really would prefer better quality and in English. So how do I get us 4 from upper hutt to somewhere we can all watch the game?

Or do I hope the stream will be there???

My question is, will Sky TV screw this up?

I have horrible nightmares years ago where there was no commentators for a FA Cup Final and after having the teams drawn at full-time, we didn't get to see extra time because it was prescheduled that some bloody Girly Swinwear show was suppose to be on.

What if Sky TV screws up the kick-off time or start early and end it half way through the second half because someone forgot to reset the time of the live feed.

They make bloody nervous. I never trusted them after that incident. Someone is going to screw up the live feed and resume pre-planned shows.

Mmmmm, have you thought about having hiring a local motel room that has Sky Sports 1 TV for the night. You and your cousins and friends can pitch with the cost.

Good idea. Could do that actually. Hopefully it wouldn't be too expensive - could be worth it too. Fun night out lol.

That might just put the cost up a tad.
On the other hand gives you something to do while Elrick talks for 15 minutes.

I know, I know, its serious!

You go to Four Kings, leave the kids outside to look in the window.

Nope, there's some Red Bull cliptomaniacs, the Worlds Strongest Man Minute Marathon and New Zealand Junior Karting Champs on at the same time (all replays), that are the priority.  Oh wait, that's sky tv programming.  Last I read they'll be open for it.
