Got there, got told to go away. LOL.

Invitation only, so plenty of media and Bahrain entourage and not much else.
You know we belong together...

Ahmad, if you go along, ask for Razaq (spelling?) Team Organiser.

Was there for about a minute before I was told to leave. The short one wearing a blue NZ training top, all whites scarf and cap.

Poor Effort by Bahrain to be honest. I reckon they are a lot more nervous than they make out.

How can you make a session at Newtown park private the ground can be looked at from the many hills around it from behind the fences.

Perhaps their outward confidence is hiding an inner nervousness. Thank goodness our guys are keeping level heads and concentrating on the task at hand.

yeah but welly isn't that big and if I hadn't gone for dinner, I would've gone bush and done a stake out .

sat in the bush randomly sounding off a airhorn as they're about to take kicks .

in all seriousness it would've been awesome just to watch them and try and see a difference in the teams etc...

Did they have open sessions in sydney Traitor? Maybe its that time where they just wanted a private training session. The AW's also had private training sessions today. Thats just my opinion though guys.

All of Bahrain knew the training location yesterday...

Was a little upset by the way it was all handled really. Fair enough have a closed session but why not let people who had waited for ages stay for a few minutes, get their fix of goodwill, and then people leave in peace and happiness.

In retrospect I wish I had asked for a personal invite to attend training when I bumped into management at the airport. I didn't realise how dumb security was going to be. Waving around a Bahraini supporters jersey in front of the bus didn't even manage to attract the attention of anyone important in the team. Grrr.

Anyway I will try to upload some photos later in the absence of anyone living overlooking Newtown Park with a telephoto lens.

I'm with clark007e - you should have all just said "get f*cked, this is a public park".

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I was there for half an hour before they showed up chucking a ball around, thing that f**ked me off is the security guys sat there that whole time and then just before the bus showed up told us to leave. If they had told us from the get go we couldn't stay then I wouldn't have been so pissed off.

James McConie from CGW was kicking the ball around, that guy has some decent skills

Enough teasing.

I finally had some dinner and I am uploading photos now.

Up in a few minutes if you want to delay your bedtime.

Will also have a few shots of the team plane from the point of view of the tarmac.

Here it is: proof that I actually did arrive in Wellington today. After seeing the quality shots posted here by lonegunman and Traitor I am ashamed by these shots, but they are limited by some pretty obvious reasons.

And I still really want to know from someone what my rights were tonight to stay at Newtown Park when asked to leave by security?

In my eyes they can't tell you to bugger off unless your actually on the park considering its public property.

I have no doubt that you'd be in the right.. technically. But if there's a big security guard who might not possess good inter-personal communication skills you might not want to argue the finer details.

I should have waited for the police to arrive but the guy was heating up pretty bad and I wasn't there to disturb the Bahraini team.

I personally would take him on, for the fact the only way he could legally get you out of there is by calling the police, if he were to pull you away you could get him on assault. If you want a closed training session do it at a park where you can lock the gates. EG The basin or the Stadium

In hindsight I should have pressed the management guy I met earlier or we should have gone to team hotel to try and say hi. Really had no idea how arse security was going to be... But hindsight is a beautiful thing.

Hi are there any open training sessions for either team today? However unlikely.
