To be fair to Hard News he does have a long history of stating that Fat Les is a bit sh*t.
 
Personally I quite like the idea of robbing something so English off the English. Just make sure that at some point in the video someone in an England shirt gets a kick in the nuts.

Reckon the new version is quite good. Not sure about the ' kick lumps outta you, line , a bit negative especially if it goes 'viral' . I think  that, one line, needs some work. otherwise great. BlattersBalls2010-04-29 13:43:24

judging by the shirt News was wearing to Smiffs birthday dinner - I wouldnt use him as the benchmark of all that is good and tasteful

I'm not saying he's right, just pointing out he's not flip-flopping or being a grinch on this particular initiative.
 
I've always found the song to be endearingly barmy.
 
I still think the video should have someone in an England shirt getting kicked in the nuts though. Just for laffs.

Man we got some funny looks today down Courtney Place dressed as DangerMouse pushing a BBQ had nothing to do with it....in the alley besides Merms (apparently that's where we were) and then down the waterfront in front of Te Papa on an absolute peach of a Welli day...
